A Horoscope Test to see If Your Horoscope Is Correct

Mine is very very correct. I was born when the stars are properly aligned.
Paul, you're a Sagittarius!

The planets are very complex. Maybe your astrologer will disagree, and maybe a few tendencies will vary, but overall you're a SAGITTARIUS. As a fire sign, you are energetic and restless -- quite the explorer! Your adventurous and independent spirit gives you an incurable sense of wanderlust. You thrive on change and always find ways to avoid monotony and routine. You are in tune with your stars and often seem to be in the right place at the right time. You're a generous friend and have a great sense of humor, but you're sometimes are uncomfortable with romantic commitments. Singing to Usher In New Year at Kbox AMK

I was actually supposed to have lunch & shopping for our New Year shoes at Ang Mo Kio with my brother. It ended up the short lunch cum shopping trip turned out to be be a lunch, shopping trip cum singing session at AMK KBox. Thanks to the heavy downpour.

This brother of mine, have been singing at Kbox since my birthday party, since I brought him there for my birthday. Had a fun time, considering the amount of stress that I was having at work this week.

Happy New Year. May 2006 be the year of good tidings for you!

New Year, What's Your Resolutions & What Have You Achieved?

The time has come again. Today is the last day of the year. 31 Dec 2005.

What have I achieved?
  1. Got a pay increment in April 2005, which came to me as a surprise as I did not expect.
  2. Passed my Financial Reporting Paper & Tax Papers, but failed my Financial Management Paper.
  3. A new IPOD Nano, courtesy of Singnet.
  4. A new HP, Samsung E640
  5. New friends from MSN & ICQ, especially those whom I have become good friends. (Thanks DJ, SR & Krys)

What I hope to forget?

  1. The fiasco caused by the neighbours at WLNY. Thanks for the stupid remarks, you guys nearly made me end up in jail for that remark u guys made about me.
  2. That gal, who absconded after I helped her friend pay for 2 concert tickets. I guess it is diffcult for me to get back the money since her handphone is now uncontactable.
  3. The "aeroplane flyer" for my birthday party. You have left nothing much for me to remember as you kept disappointing me when I asked you along for my birthday each year, but kept flying me the plane every year.
  4. My senior colleague, who backstabbed me to my boss. If she is to stab me again, I guess I will fight back.

New Year Resolutions & Hopes

  1. Hope for a bonus this year.
  2. A new job this year. I cannot forsee myself staying in this company for long as the colleagues are getting from bad to worse. I guess not even an increment coming April would make me change my decision.
  3. A pass for all my remaining ACCA papers before I kickstart my final 3 papers.
  4. A new gal for my life. My mum wants me to put this every year since I was 23. Haiz:(

THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH & THE WARDROBE

C.S. Lewis' timeless adventure THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE follows the exploits of the four Pevensie siblings - Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter - in World War II England who enter the world of Narnia through a magical wardrobe while playing a game of 'hide-and-seek' in the rural country home of an elderly professor.Once there, the children discover a charming, peaceful land inhabited by talking beasts, dwarfs, fauns, centaurs and giants that has become a world cursed to eternal winter by the evil White Witch, Jadis. Under the guidance of a noble and mystical ruler, the lion Aslan, the children fight to overcome the White Witch's powerful hold over Narnia in a spectacular, climactic battle that will free Narnia from Jadis' icy spell forever.

I went with Jason to watch this movie at Causeway Point, Cathay Cineplex. Its a nice show actually, wonder why my net friend, Badtze said it is not nice. I was nearly frightened by the roars of Azlan, the lion, due to the very good sound effects. I like the little gal who acts as Lucy and of course the lion. It is so adorable. :) A four out of five star movie.

Before that, we went to Pasta Mania and had our dinner. Yummy Yummy. We were chatting about a lot of things, like the "interesting" couple for my birthday trying to hide something & diverting the attention to him & Stella. This couple actually went out the next day on their own for a movie, without asking us along. One half of the couple actually gave an excuse for not asking me along, but I guess it was a bit "you know what I mean". We also talked about Stella's attitude towards me that day. She seemed very apprehensive when she was asked to sing with me. A phone call to her on Thursday may have confirmed my doubts. A guy, whom I do not think is her brother picked up the phone. Anyway I won't be asking her, as she has told me that we can only be friends, & not a couple. I do not wish to lose a friend. Some things are best kept in my heart. "Always look on the bright side of life, I always tell myself." I hope I can find my princess soon! My mum is getting more & more naggy about this, especially when she was told that I didn't send Stella home that day, but sent Caifeng home instead. She said that I should have sent Stella home instead of Caifeng. Even if I offered to see Stella home, she will defintely decline the offer, as she will always say its out of the way.

We also discussed about the "aeroplane flyer" & how to deal with her when she asked us out for a gathering. In fact, I am thiinking not to invite her for CNY gathering if it is to be held at my place on 4 Feb 2006. Currently I am finalising the plans with Caifeng, as she is not sure if she wants to hold one. If she is not holding one, I should be holding one. My fellow blogger friends are invited, should the event take shape. I should be finalising the plans by 9 Jan 2006. Look out for posting here!

After the dinner, we went to source for Huiyu's birthday present. Her birthday on 23 March. I wonder what to get for her this round. Went to Lee Hwa jewellery to have some ideas, but the earrings did not capture my attention. I think we will be asking her what she want, when we meet up for CNY. Most likely, will be planning the place for eating for her too. She is a busy worker at IRAS. Who wants to share her gift, readers who know us?

Stupid System

I was feeling very fustrated with my colleagues, especially E. She kept commenting that I was not doing my work & doing personal stuff. I dare say that you are doing personal stuff during office hours, & don't you dare put words in my mouth by saying that. Because, my conscience is very clear. I think my boss can see what is happening.

The work was not smooth today. The IRAS new system took me 5.5 hours to set the passwords for about 40 to 50 of my clients. The last thing I need was a "stupid" (as my boss put it) IRAS officer, who asked me to confirm if the client had substantial change in shareholders. It is an insult to my capability as a tax assistant when she said " Do you know tax or not?" . "Excuse me, Ms, if I didn't check the shareholders, how would I have claimed the untilised losses / capital allowances so confidently? Even my boss has to review before it is sent out to you. Do you mind extracting the information from ACRA if you have no faith in me?"

It is getting increasingly likely that I will be going ahead with my big plan. Working with these bunch of aunties have given me enlightenment, but more often then not, self-centred & scarcastic comments about me. Some of them have even overstepped the boundaries of checking my work, gossiping about me.

The Big Four could be my next destination.

Busy Day & Pissed Off

It was a busy day for me at work today. I worked till about 7.15pm before I left the office. I was the last person to leave the office, so you can imagine how much work I have cleared, but is still not finished. I still have a fair bit to clear.

I feel sad for DJ as her plans for a surprise for a person close to her heart was not appreciated. This is my message for her.

In a relationship, both parties should feel happy & comfortable together every time they meet.
If either one of them is feeling pressured in a relationship
Both parties should take a step back
Think about what they hope to achieve in the relationship
Sometimes giving away something to someone you love can make your day.
Understanding each other & communication will definitely make the relationship better.

Sick on Christmas Day

Had a late nite last nite, slept at about 1.30am. I woke up at close to 11am today. I knew that something was very wrong as I felt a strong heat on my body. Geez. Fever is visiting me on Christmas Day! I continued to have a light breakfast & my light lunch before taking the fever medicine to send myself to sleep again.

To me, Mr Fever has choosen the right time to visit as I personally do not like Chirstmas, especially the religious meaning of it. I chose to stay at home yesterday despite the fact that my dad asked me to join in his church's celebration at the Grassroots Club. His church friends will always have the same question for me every year. The question is " Why are you not joining your dad & your brother to be in the same religion?" They have forgotten that religious beliefs of people are supposed to be made by the person himself. I am a person who do not like to be forced to do something which I do not like. This also explains why I chose to give up on a gal I like, 3 years back. She & her mum felt that I should be a Chirstian before I can start a BGR with her.

I beg to differ on this, as my parents is a classic example of different religions can get along together. Although there is initally quarrels here & there, but I think the key to the matter is respecting one's faith.

Personally, I consider myself to be a free thinker, as I do not believe that you need to join the religion's activities to know new people. I feel that the morals of upbringing is always being taught by your parents, teachers and/ or relatives. In fact, I feel that people who are too engrossed in a religion would do him more harm than good.

My religion as stated in my identity card is Buddhism, which I feel that I can relate to. But as I told my mum to tell her peers in the religion not to be engrossed in getting me to join their activities. She used to get the people to ask me to join the activities. She says its a chance for me to know more people & maybe get myself a girlfriend. Those people have since given up on trying to get me to join the activities as I always reject them. As for my mum, I told her I would rather know people through the normal way or cyberspace. I always believe true friends exist in cyberspace as well. Just like I have several close ones, whom I am close to. As for BGR, we cross the bridge when we come to that. At 26 I feel that I am still young.

Chirstmas Greetings

I only managed some short posts after my birthday. Actually I was supposed to be out with DJ on 31 Dec , but thanks to her mum for informing her yesterday that she is to join her for a family gathering on that day. I have sent an e-mail to Plaza Parkroyal to cancel the booking of the table, but to date, I haven't got any reply from them, so looks like DJ has to forsake her mum, or like she say, get her mum to join me for the lunch. Ha ha:) Pengz.

My working day was spoiled by a stupid client who told my boss that I did not do her company's income tax submission for her when I already done it on Nov 16 2005. My message to the client is that we only charge you $X, but you wanted me to amend the tax computation 4 times. I have to justify my time charged. If you do not trust us to do your audit & tax services, you may change to your favourite consultancy firm. You are an idiot that spoiled my boss' day too.

The day was perked up when it was time for the Chirstmas lunch. The place was at Plaza Parkroyal again. The food was at its usual best. I really enjoyed it, especially the soft shell crabs, the fish & the mussels. My boss actially served me a soft shell crab in front of my colleagues. I guessed they were jealous by what they saw. My boss actually put me in a seat where it makes it easier for me to get the buffet food. Thanks Mr Yee & Chirstine, I really appreciate the thoughts.

After the lunch, I met up with my cousin, Jolene at Raffles Place MRT. I was given the surprise half day off by Chirstine. My cousin was also on her half day off, which was declared earlier by her company. We went to Toa Payoh, where we took a look at some new handphones in the market, as she was planning to get one. After that we went to Plaza Singapura, where we sat at the foodcourt & chatted about our recent happenings.I heard some 'wonderful' stories courtesy of my 'masterminds' aunts again. I just can't be bothered with them.

We chatted till about 7pm before we parted.

No X'mas / New Year Plans

Anybody interested to ask me out for Chirstmas & New Year can msg me. My plans are scuppered by last minute cancellations.

I won't want to attend church with my dad & brother on 24/12. Won't want to get the same questions, year after year.

A Greedy Man Just Deserts, We Hope !!!

I was quite shocked as I read The New Paper in the afternoon. Yesterday was the release of NKF Report by KPMG to the press. It did not surprise me that Mr Durai had so much perks & benefits as the CEO. What shocked me was the fact that only 10 cents went to the kidney patients for each charity dollar donated.
I am asking Mr Durai, Does your conscience prick you when you take our kind donations, which are meant for the kidney patients, as part of your backdated pay? You may feel that you have done a lot for the kidney patients & you are just getting what you think you deserve. But to me, I just want to say, "Isn't this part of your duties, or should say part of your job?" You are just a greedy man. I hope the authorities can find more 'interesting stories' before they send him to eat 'black bean rice'.

My cousin, Jolene had read my blog entry about my birthday, which made her start a blog immediately at her office. I shan't reveal where her office is as she works for a reputed firm.

Talking about my birthday, the birthday cake was a surprise from DJ, Krys , SR & BR. I am very very touched by their gesture. They really move me to tears as DJ, SR & Krys did not actually know me long enough and to think that they actually went to buy the cake when K-Box did not give us the cake package. Thanks for the surprise. I really am touched. I will make the effort to remember your birthdays. Hehe:)

Further Birthday Wishes from MSN

Thanks to Tari, Mike, Keqing, Panda, Tracey for their birthday wishes on MSN.

Although some of them are belated, I still appreciate the thoughts.

Thank you so much.

Perhaps Love - 如果爱

This movie is done like a broadway musical.

Monty ( Ji Jin Hee), a muse, appears in Shanghai with a mission, he yearns for a taste of geniune human emotions and puts himself out as a beacon for lost souls, drowning in the bitter sea of love. Lin Jian Dong ( Takeshi Kaneshiro), is the star in a new musical helmed by renowned director, Nie Wen ( Jacky Cheung). Lin’s co-star, Sun Na ( Zhou Xun), is an old flame from a decade ago.Sun is in a relationship with Nie, who made her a star. When the ex-lovers meet at a press conference, Lin is hurt by Sun’s indifference towards him. Now the hottest stars of their generation, the romance of their past is rekindled as the production of the musical progresses. With the trio in the throes of jealousy, hatred and passion, the muse steps in to stir the pot...

I really like the part where Jian Dong dumped Sun Na aside after a night of passion with her in their old house in Beijing, going to the airport, only to return after realising that he still loved her.

After Nie Wen found out about the stars' past relationship, he kept changing his script to cater to the demands of his big boss (Eric Tsang) to write the play as a love story. Did Nie Wen succeed & who did Sun Na choose to be with, or did one of the guys give up?

The story is very touching & the soundtrack is very good that not only I plan to get it. My friends, BR & DJ are planning to get that too. Will be getting one for keeps. !!!

Chirstmas Eve / New Year Eve Gathering, Anyone Interested?

I hope to get some of my blog friends together for a Chirstmas Eve or New Year Eve gathering, since I won't be working on the 24th or 31st.

Maybe, we can an early gathering , as I really do not like the crowds late at nite.

As for the gathering, I'm thinking of a movie (King Kong) or singing session, then after that dinner, then shop for a while before heading home.

SR, DJ , BR & Krys (if u r reading this, or DJ, please ask her) , please let me know if you are interested and/ or additions of people that you want.

Birthday Party Photos

These are the photos taken at my birthday last night at the KTV session after the dinner at the KTV session @ Suntec City K-Box.

Firstly, I would like to thank my friends (Caifeng, Huiyu, Jason, Richard, Stella, SR, DJ & Krys) for taking their time off to attend my birthday. Special thanks to Huiyu, for picking the tab for me 1st. DJ & Krys for the watch. SR for the "Happy Birthday" book & an object which I don't know what it means. ( please explain to me.). DJ again, for the badge, but I can't figure out what it means. Shall call u!!! and of course, Jason, for looking after my brother.

Secondly, I would like to express my thanks to Caifeng, Huiyu, Jason & Stella for the handphone gift. I really appreciate it.

Thirdly, I would like to express my disappointment about the "aeroplane flyers". I feel so sad to say that it is the same person again. I think I am not the one that is only upset. I think Caifeng was too, as she was expecting Yishan to come as Kelvin was not there. Luckily, Stella was there to chat with her.

An apology to my friends as well here. Sorry for making you all run about from City Hall MRT then to Marina Square, instead of Raffles City, due to the rain.

A VERY BIG THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!!

I am sorry if I did not manage to look after everyone of you, or should I say shower my attention to everyone. :)

Birthday Celebration Tonight

I am looking forward to my birthday celebration tonight. I am really excited about it even as I am typing this. A few reasons why I am so excited.

  1. It will be the biggest gathering since I had one with 12 people at Sushi Tei Takashimaya 4 years ago. That birthday celebration had made me seen through a person's character thoroughly as he made me very embarassed in events subsequent to the incident.
  2. It will be the first time that I have 4 new additiions to my party. Thanks to SR, DJ , Krys & R (he's the Mr Mystery I am talking about) for agreeing to attend.
  3. There will be a KTV session.
  4. DJ said she has bought a Chirstmas gift for me, in addition to a birthday gift. I was very surprised when touched by her gesture. I will be sourcing the gift for you & SR later. I have some ideas after reading the 8 Days magazine. The gift will be from me & R.

Will be putting up the b-day wishes & pics tomorrow. Hope I can enjoy myself tonight.

The Day When I Became a Corporate Secretary

I wonder why some people who are getting old just don't want to remember or learn new things. And when they ask their colleagues to them, she thinks that she is a commander, keeps commanding people to help her to do things. She still has the cheek to say that nobody is helping her to pick up the office phone calls, when the boss asked her why she is doing things so slowly.

When people are helping you to do your things, you should learn to be grateful & learn how to do from them. We are not born to walk when we came to this world. We had to learn. Even as we make the transition from school to the working world, we must treat everyday as a learning day, to keep pace with the technological advances & enviornmental changes. We can only help you so much. The rest is up to you.

Learning it by yourself is a fun process, as it can be useful in your work & play. Please change your attitude towards work & buck up. Do not complain when the boss give you less bonus next month.

The Amazing Race

I had been too tired from my exams for the past two days that I did not have the energy to blog.

The two papers have been pretty okay, but I do not want to place too much faith on scoring well. I am just hoping for a pass, as I did not put in much time to prepare for the two papers. A one & a half week of annual and study leave….. I just hope it is enough for the examiner not to fail me.

I was watching “The Amazing Race” last night. The family that I have expected to win the race from the start, Linz family did not disappoint us and won the prize of US$1 million. The reason why I feel that they deserved to win as they are young and have the stamina to do all the challenging detours & roadblocks.

3 more days to my birthday. Ever since the Christian gal & her mum scarred my thoughts about the religion and my feelings for her, I have always been wishing for something simple and easily attainable, like good health.

Since that incident, only one gal has captured my sight, but unfortunately to say, she also rejected me. I do not wish to know the reason behind the rejection as I hope to preserve my friendship with her, as per her request. Perhaps it may be good if I stay single. It can do me good, I think. Haha.

This birthday, my wish should be no different, unless someone captures my sight again.

I am looking forward to this Saturday, which is my birthday bash. I just wish to thank the guests for coming. There should be 10 of us for the dinner, with my brother, most likely joining the KTV session at Suntec.

Stupid Digital Camera

My Digimaster Digital Camera chose to walk out on me when I need it for my birthday. Luckily, my cousin, HM said that she was able to lend me hers. Yipee!!!! Long time didn't take pics liao.:)

The next thing to happen was that the supplementary credit card given my dad was stopped. You must be wondering, " How come my card was stopped & I didn't know about it?" I was at the clinic today when I tried to use the card. The clinic assistant said " Your card access is denied." Upon hearing that, I whipped out my NETS Card to make the payment. The lesson I learned is "It is always good to have a prudent budget & cash savings that can save you in times of need." After that, I messaged my dad to ask him to check with the bank that issued him the card. I shall just say the card is "THE BEST LOVED CARD IN SINGAPORE" due to its tie-ups with many places, in terms of discounts.

Fortunately, I have sufficient cash in my bank for my birthday bash on this Saturday. But I will not enjoy the discounts. I think I can seek help from some of the guests if there is discounts. "Money is hard to earn, so have to spend it wisely, & take advantage of discounts if any.

The Colour Quiz

Paul's Existing Situation

Imaginative and sensitive; seeking an outlet for these qualities--especially in the company of someone equally sensitive. Interest and enthusiasm are readily aroused by the unusual or the adventurous.

Paul's Stress Sources

The situation is regarded as threatening or dangerous. Outraged by the thought that he will be unable to achieve his goals and distressed at the feeling of helplessness to remedy this. Over-extended and feels beset, possibly to the point of nervous prostration.

Paul's Restrained Characteristics

Remains emotionally unattached even when involved in a close relationship.
Feels that he cannot do much about his existing problems and difficulties and that he must make the best of things as they are. Able to achieve satisfaction from sexual activity.

Paul's Desired Objective

Feels the situation is hopeless. Strongly resists things which he finds disagreeable. Tries to shield himself from anything which might irritate him or make him feel more depressed.

Paul's Actual Problem

Depleted vitality has created an intolerance for any further stimulation, or demands on his resources. This feeling of powerlessness subjects him to agitation and acute distress. He reacts by considering that he has been victimized, and insists--with indignation, resentment, and defiance--on being given his own way.

Topics Squeeze, But Morale High

Currently taking a break from my revision. R was asking why I didn't blog yesterday. Hmmm he seems interested reading my blog. Actually, its pretty normal stuff that I am writing, just like what he is writing in his blog.

R is going crazy over his study methods again. He is going to cover 18 topics in 2 days. I think my course mates were wrong when they called him "God". Knowing his style, I foresee that he should beat me again. This round, he seems a little down. It could be due to his breakup with Ms I. Let's hope it does not affect him.

I have done the booking of the KTV @ KBox. I have booked the 8 people package one The singing will be at Suntec City. I just realised that I forgot to put in my new friend, Krys, her name in the list of singers. My my, study stress coming to me?

Shall I Do

I was thinking whether should I go ahead with the booking. I saw this offer (2nd one) specially for b-day ppl.
I am not sure I can get at least 5 to 8 people to join in the KTV. But with the crowd that I have, majority are all singers, so I think I will go ahead 1st.

For the party goers, wondering who will be the singers & what they may be singing. Here is a sneak peek.

1. Paul ( the host) - JJ Lin Junjie, David Tao, Jay Chou, Stefanie Sun, Kit Chan, Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau......
2. DJ - She can sing almost any song, like me, incl. retro chinese songs.
3. SR - Have not sing with her before. But NP's choir member. Her standard should be higher than us.
4. Caifeng - Look out for her Cantonese songs, esp. Sammi Cheng
5.Huiyu - Long time never sing with her, but guess her vocals still there.
6.Stella - Haven't sing with her before, so its unsure.

Jason should be the audience. Hear us sing!!!

Thanks for the Gentle Reminder

I would like to thank Jason for alerting something that I may have overlooked for my birthday party on 17 Dec.

He asked me to check with my guests if they had any allergy to seafood, as Cafe Cartel serves seafood for their combo meal. The other combo meal is the Pork Ribs . I must say that the serving is big for 5 people. On hearing that, I sms-ed SR, Krys, DJ & Stella immediately. All came back with the reply, except for DJ. She is like very busy. Hehe :). It seems like SR is allergic to prawns but not other seafood. I wonder why. Haha.

I think I shall put the menu up here, so my guests can see what they want.

No Logic

Thanks to my mum. Had a shouting match before my sleep last night. It is already decidedthat we will not be attending the family gathering on 17 Dec due to our various appointments.

She brought it up for discussion again. So what if the gathering is on 10 Dec? It does not matter, My dad & I will not be attending anyway as I am preparing my ACCA exam. I told my mum that all these rubbish gathering are created by my 3 "Mastermind" Aunts, who are always so free, ask people organise these stupid gatherings. Then when we don't attend, they will say nasty things, like the one I wrote 2 entries ago.

Even if we went, they will also say something. My dad was virtually sleeping at my cousin's place at Bishan at the last gathering. They chided my dad for sleeping throughout. I was so angry that I told my aunts off. I said, " We are not so lucky like you. School holidays don't need to work. Although my dad just got retrenched, he still drive cab, just to put food on the table."

I told my mum that after this round of gathering at my place, it will be our turn again. "Do you think that your siblings will be so free to help you to prepare the food for dad's family, like the last time? "I think this may not be the case, because it is very tiring, preparing food for these people, who just finish the food & go off. They do not even bother to help you do the cleaning up. I had to help my mum clear so much after that. Lucky my cousin was there to help.

After this round, I hope my dad will suggest that the gathering to be held at any of the masterminds' place, instead of our place. It is not fair to us as grandma is also their mum too, not only my dad & my uncles.

I am going to ask my dad to handle her "mastermind" sisters when they pester us for the next gathering. I will not entertain any calls from them.

Boyfriend / Husband Stealers In Celebrity Circles

I was reading the 8 Days Magazine for this week. I came across this piece of celebrity gossip which made me think back about an event that had the Singapore radio stations talking a few weeks back. I shall not name all the parties involved here, or which radio stations they are from, for that, I may be hauled up for questioning by the police.

I was just stunned how the guy managed to dump this gal & go with another in such a short time. I really pity the gal that was dumped. I spoke to this gal before. She is very obliging, as she did not reject my request for an autograph after the event. It is almost 8 years ago already.

I just feel that some celebrities need to do their own soul sometimes. Will it do you any good when you steal your fellow colleagues' partners? The way one of the couple put it, " Let them say what they want." But to me, I feel that its definitely not right to start a new relationship so soon after you have broke off with the previous one.

Therefore, I have always named the 2 people (2 gals) mentioned in 8 Days this week, b*** & bimbos. Now I have a new name for them. Husband stealer & Boyfriend Stealer.

The female DJ who got dumped has my sympathy. Cheer up!

Update on My Birthday Celebration

DJ was asking me last night how many people will be attending my birthday on 17 Dec 2005 and what package I will be taking for the KBox KTV Package.

Here is an update as of now.

Confirmed Attendance
1. Paul ( of course! I am the host what!!!)
2. DJ
3. Krys
4. Rebecca
5. Mr Mystery (You will know when you see him)
6. Stella
7. Jason
8. Huiyu
9. Caifeng

Pending
1. Mac
2. Kelvin
3. Yishan
4. Raymond
5. My brother (He say he try to come, if his choir & church camp ends early Haha. He says he met almost everyone on my list in my confirmed list, except DJ & Krys.)

As for the KTV, I guess I should be taking the 8 pax one with plus maybe one or two, because Mr Mystery says he wants to go home after dinner. Haha. Unless something drastic happens, I do not forsee him staying for that.

Inconsiderate Relatives Again!

I heard from my dad that my relatives are going to have a gathering at my uncle's place on 17 Dec yesterday. My dad was stunned by the short notice. Anyway, my family will not be attending the event because of the various commitments that we have for the night. My cousin has been informed.

Me: My birthday celebration at Cafe Cartel.
I simply cannot change that as my friends have already kept themselves free for the event. The thing is that some of them have already bought my birthday present. It is also quite difficuit to get everyone together on the same day. It is a big one, so if I have to disappoint, I have to disappoint about 10 to 14 people here.

Brother: Church Camp/Choir Practice / My Birthday Celebration
All these events were planned by the church before the school term break. Therefore, there is no chance for it to be cancelled or postponed. Even my birthday celebration, he may not be able to make it.

Dad: Night Job - Taxi Driver
It is a known fact that Saturday evenings are the best time for taxi drivers. So do I need to say more? Putting it in a blunt way, who is going to help us when we have not enough money?

Mum: Community Centre Dinner
My mum has already paid for this. It is not cheap also. We do not have so much money to burn.

My dad feels that he was not consulted for the gathering. He feels that he is not even his mother's son. His sisters are selfish people who only thinks about themselves & choose the timing that fits their needs. They do not care about other people's feelings & wonder the people are free on that day.

For me, I feel the same way as my dad. And ever since that unhappy incident that popped up during the period leading to my grandma's birthday, where we were also informed at the last minute, or should I say suddenly, I am very disillusioned & resolved not to attend any family gathering!

For the record, I did not attend the celebration, as my appointment with my friends was planned in advance, due to our busy schedules. I was being chided by my aunt, who told my mum that I should have put family commitment first. My retort was " Did they treat us as relatives or family in the 1st place, if they have the heart, they would have replanned the event to a Sunday, where my dad will not be working and everyone could start earlier if possible & end earlier if they wished.

Family Commitment, what rubbish? When all of you aunties there treat us like commodites? Where is family spirit? I think it will follow my grandma to her grave. I am so sorry to say that!!!

Surprises for Me On My Birthday Party

I received a SMS from Krys yesterday. She was asking me what I wanted for my birthday. I really need to go & think about it. I was very surprised when she sms-ed me. I am really touched about it, as this will be the 1st time I'll be meeting her. Thanks Krys.

Got another stunner from Yishan, that she may not be coming for my birthday celebration on 17 Dec. I had sent out a sms to everyone that I have invited yesterday as I will be having my ACCA exams soon, therefore I am afraid that I may forget about arranging where & what time to meet for that day. Anyway, this is not the first time she has stunned me so I am immune to it already.

Another surprise for me from my buddy, Richard this morning. I can't reveal it here, cause I am being asked not to. But I think some clever readers of my blog may be able to guess what it is already. You may put the guess in the comment box.

I am hoping to go to his concert at Singapore Expo, Max Pavillion on 20 January 2006. I wonder who wants to join me? If no one is joining me, its no fun going alone. Any takers?

Most likely, I won't be attending her concert on 14 Jan 2006. I am talking about Sun Yanzi. Her singing in live concert is not as good as Kit Chan, but she is charging more than Faye Wong. Oh my god, wonder if the promoters know that?

Although I do buy her albums, I feel that she can't really sing "Live". I was at Zouk for her Stefanie Mini Concert. Her singing was a major disappointment. I must say even her latest album, "A Perfect Day" is a major disappointment as well. I think she can do better.

I am planning to get Jay Chou's "November Chopin". I heard that the album is not bad, especially the duet with Lara, "Shan Hu Hai", which means Sea of Corals.

Going To Be A Singing Party

It looks like it is going to be a singing party on 17 Dec.
Its just too good to resist, this offer. Lucky I am a K Box Member!!

I told Richard to come to my birthday celebration again. But he gave the excuse that I expected him to give. I shan't say here, because he just started his new blog at Blogspot.

I told him Huiyu will be going, so at least there is someone to talk with him. I wonder if he is trying to avoid something or someone or is he really scared? If yes, scared of what? Looks like only he knows the answer.......... :)

Richard said he wants to know another of my friend, DJ, wonder if he is joking or what. Anyway will ask DJ first, see what she says.

Sometimes one must know how to let go
& when to let go of something or someone
in order to live life to the fullest & be happy!
If circumstances are beyond what we expect
we can't just sit down there & dwell on it
we must learn to look forward
Only then things will fall in place
for you to know to learn
new things & know new people!
This is dedicated to Richard & Rebecca.

My B-Day Present From my Friends

I have been pretty busy this week. I met up with Jason on Thursday and this guy sprang me a surprise. After our dinner at Suntec City Oli Dome, where it was a good dinner, (where the food was really good & delicious, will bring my friends there if Cafe Cartel is full on 17 Dec. The food is not oily & pretty filling as well & it tastes good.) .

After that,we went to Samsung Shop, where I thought he wanted to buy the Samsung voucher that I requested as birthday present. The store personnel said that Samsung does not carry vouchers, therefore proceeded to ask me what hp I had in mind. After getting the IPOD Nano for free at the Singnet Signup, I do not think I needed the Samsung E730 as I have an MP3 player & FM Radio Receiver, so I decided on the Samsung E640. I asked Jason, what budget did the group have in mind, sharing my present? After hearing that 5 people are going to share my present with a $30 budget each, as Caifeng, Stella & he had a tight budget. I told him that I do not mind to trade in my Nokia 6020 hp & top up the balance myself. After informing them, I got the hp. (* I got a surprisingly good trade-in value for my Nokia hp, that I ended up topping up less than $150 for this b-day present.) Still trying to get used to it though, as the functions are different from Nokia.

I met up with my ex-colleagues on Friday, where they actually celebrated my birthday for me and several of my ex colleagues (Bik Huat, Ben, Chris & Limin) . I like to express my heartfelt thanks to Sunny, Jolin & Soo for celebrating our birthdays for us.

We had dinner at a Chinese Restaurant at China Square Level 3, The Teahouse. The restaurant is unique in a sense that we need to circle the food we want on a food list before placing an order with the waiter. I find that it was pretty interesting.

After that, we actually wanted to go Mount Faber for a drink. But the weather suddenly changed, It poured, so we went to Boat Quay Coffee Bean for a drink instead. We chatted till about 1.30am before going our seperate ways.

We were told by Sunny that he will be holding his wedding reception at Sheraton Towers Hotel on 11 Feb 2006 (Sat). Looks like I have to start to prepare the wedding red packet already. Hehe.:)

Change

It has been a while since I last blogged. My mood have been affected by my work recently. The fortunate thing was that there was singing, JJ...
