IRAS Seminar & Job Interview

Today I went to IRAS twice, first for the seminar about the new "My tax portal" system for corporate clients & tax agents.

Like the last time on Aug 19, the speaker seemed ill-prepared for the presentation & he was jammed for a while for the first question I have asked in the Q & A session. The session also meant that it was a start of an admin work nightmare for me. I have to compile the differences in IRAS client listing & my client listing & submit to IRAS in a CD by 31 Oct. Tomorrow is already 20 Oct. I have just managed to verify 25% of the clients of the first firm that I am working for before I left the office for my leave. Deadline is tight.

Went for the second time for the interview. The interview was not a good one. The offer was very much different than what I have expected & the pay was shocking, surprisingly low. It is actually about 15% lower than what I am currently getting. Its shocking to find this in a government statutory board now. Curse ***** Points middle finger!

Movie Outing Plan With Fellow Blogger Friends

I guess Darling, SR & Rich want to watch "Memiors of A Geisha", especially after the ladies were so engrossed in the book at MPH during our last meeting. In Fond Memory of My NS Pal, Jason

I am sure that some of you who knows Jason would want to leave your condolence messages here for his family and your memories about him. I will be meeting his mum tomorrow evening and will be compiling all the messages received into a booklet to be given to his mum. The deadline for submission of the messages into the comment box is 4pm tomorrow. Thank you. Edited on 29 Dec 2007, 6.50pm After discussing with some of my & Jason's common friends, we made a conculsion that we will be burning the compiled messages to him, so that he can take it with him and read it. His body is buried at Bishan Vale, Blk 91, 2nd storey, 3rd level. I am looking at organising a group visit to the temple on Jan 1 2008 around the afternoon. Place to meet will be Bishan MRT, then we will take a cab there as I am not very sure of the exact location, despite his mum's guidance. Please contact me if you are interested in going.
