Wedding Dinner of Lin Guojing & Li Jiaxuan

I had to attend this wedding dinner with my whole family as my cousin, Li Jiaxuan was the star of the night. The event was held at Orchard Hotel. Again I was super early as my office was just nearby.

It didn’t occur to me that I would meet one of my ktv group members, Yi Feng, who happened to be my cousin’s classmate. What a coincidence. I was a little surprised when I heard someone called out my name from far. I was asked by my aunt to stand in for my grandma, who is unable to attend the wedding at the VIP seat. I was okay with it as in the Teochew tradition, the eldest grandson of the family is treated as the last child of the family. It also met that I had to be up on stage to say the “Yam Seng” for them. I stood on the 2nd row as my voice was not able to lead the cheers as I am still having a slight sore throat.

I would like to take the opportunity to wish the couple a happy and blissful marriage.

Movie Outing Plan With Fellow Blogger Friends

I guess Darling, SR & Rich want to watch "Memiors of A Geisha", especially after the ladies were so engrossed in the book at MPH during our last meeting. It can be afternoon or nite show, but afternoon is preferred as I would like to avoid the crowd shopping for CNY goodies & clothes. I would like to call the following people. In Fond Memory of My NS Pal, Jason

I am sure that some of you who knows Jason would want to leave your condolence messages here for his family and your memories about him. I will be meeting his mum tomorrow evening and will be compiling all the messages received into a booklet to be given to his mum. The deadline for submission of the messages into the comment box is 4pm tomorrow. Thank you. Edited on 29 Dec 2007, 6.50pm After discussing with some of my & Jason's common friends, we made a conculsion that we will be burning the compiled messages to him, so that he can take it with him and read it. His body is buried at Bishan Vale, Blk 91, 2nd storey, 3rd level. I am looking at organising a group visit to the temple on Jan 1 2008 around the afternoon. Place to meet will be Bishan MRT, then we will take a cab there as I am not very sure of the exact location, despite his mum's guidance. Please contact me if you are interested in going.
