July–The Month Of Birthdays

This is the month for birthdays, as Paul has been rather honoured to be part of these few birthday babes & hunks guest lists.

  • Angela Chan

This IRAS Volunteer friend of mine, whom I know last year at the VES, celebrated her 24th hatch day on 10 July. Dinner was at Swensens Ion Orchard with Wendy & Jia Jie. I certainly hope that she enjoyed our sponsorship of her birthday present, a digital camera  that she wanted and the ice cream buffet dinner that we had.

  • Raymond Ng

This long-time member & close friend of the KTV group that I am helming had his birthday & housewarming together in late June. I hope he finds the gifts from us useful to his needs.

  • Allan Ang & Liang Shu Fang

These two relatively new members to the KTV group, I decided to give them a surprise by celebrating their birthdays for them at the KTV session on 21 July. I hope they liked the surprise, which I think they did as they were telling me they were surprised by it and happy.

  • My dearest mummy

I brought the whole family to the coffeeshop near my house and treated them to a meal as I really did not know what to get for mum and I have heard people saying that people’s birthday should not be celebrated too wildly as they grow older as it may alert heaven & earth and cause your life to end earlier. I wonder how true that is.

Movie Outing Plan With Fellow Blogger Friends

I guess Darling, SR & Rich want to watch "Memiors of A Geisha", especially after the ladies were so engrossed in the book at MPH during our last meeting. It can be afternoon or nite show, but afternoon is preferred as I would like to avoid the crowd shopping for CNY goodies & clothes. I would like to call the following people. In Fond Memory of My NS Pal, Jason

I am sure that some of you who knows Jason would want to leave your condolence messages here for his family and your memories about him. I will be meeting his mum tomorrow evening and will be compiling all the messages received into a booklet to be given to his mum. The deadline for submission of the messages into the comment box is 4pm tomorrow. Thank you. Edited on 29 Dec 2007, 6.50pm After discussing with some of my & Jason's common friends, we made a conculsion that we will be burning the compiled messages to him, so that he can take it with him and read it. His body is buried at Bishan Vale, Blk 91, 2nd storey, 3rd level. I am looking at organising a group visit to the temple on Jan 1 2008 around the afternoon. Place to meet will be Bishan MRT, then we will take a cab there as I am not very sure of the exact location, despite his mum's guidance. Please contact me if you are interested in going.
