New Year, What's Your Resolutions & What Have You Achieved?

The time has come again. Today is the last day of the year. 31 Dec 2005.

What have I achieved?
  1. Got a pay increment in April 2005, which came to me as a surprise as I did not expect.
  2. Passed my Financial Reporting Paper & Tax Papers, but failed my Financial Management Paper.
  3. A new IPOD Nano, courtesy of Singnet.
  4. A new HP, Samsung E640
  5. New friends from MSN & ICQ, especially those whom I have become good friends. (Thanks DJ, SR & Krys)

What I hope to forget?

  1. The fiasco caused by the neighbours at WLNY. Thanks for the stupid remarks, you guys nearly made me end up in jail for that remark u guys made about me.
  2. That gal, who absconded after I helped her friend pay for 2 concert tickets. I guess it is diffcult for me to get back the money since her handphone is now uncontactable.
  3. The "aeroplane flyer" for my birthday party. You have left nothing much for me to remember as you kept disappointing me when I asked you along for my birthday each year, but kept flying me the plane every year.
  4. My senior colleague, who backstabbed me to my boss. If she is to stab me again, I guess I will fight back.

New Year Resolutions & Hopes

  1. Hope for a bonus this year.
  2. A new job this year. I cannot forsee myself staying in this company for long as the colleagues are getting from bad to worse. I guess not even an increment coming April would make me change my decision.
  3. A pass for all my remaining ACCA papers before I kickstart my final 3 papers.
  4. A new gal for my life. My mum wants me to put this every year since I was 23. Haiz:(

Dinner @ Bacchus @ Dempsey

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
