Most Expensive KTV On A Sat Afternoon

I was invited to the KTV event organised by Raymond at Nex Partyworld. Little did we expect that this would be the most expensive KTV session that we had to pay for a Sat afternoon and the customer service at the branch was really so bad that I had to sms to the marketing manager of Partyworld to get them to clean up their act. I do not think we will be going to the branch anytime soon after this experience that left us with this sour taste in the mouth. I feel that personally, the package that we took was not clearly communicated by the manager when we did our booking. If this had been done, this may not have happened. I also feel that the management of Partyworld should have broadcasted their price increase. I am in fact, a little disturbed by the fact that they have increased their prices by close to 30% during the past two months. I feel that the management should heed the Government's call to find innovative ways to improve productivity and try to minimize the passing of i

IRAS E-filing Refresher Course

This was going to be the 9th year that I will be volunteering for this. I certainly did not expect to be asked to arrive early to sign the Official Secrets Act Form and be taught like an new volunteer, helping out in the e-filing for the first time. It was so boring that my friends, Wendy & Angela really were talking among ourselves to keep ourselves awake and  keep our minds away from our hunger as the food provided for us was certainly not appealing nor palatable to our stomach. Wendy was commenting that I am able to coach the volunteers better as I have been in the line for 9 years and I have,  the Accredited Tax Practitioner Certificate from SIATP, She says I have the patience to coach people. Maybe I should start volunteering my service to IRAS to help to train the new volunteers or I could conduct online

Training of New Staff

My company's admin & accounts department is about to leave the company soon for greener pastures. Actually, we were quite surprised that she will be leaving us, but after giving some thoughts and analysis about this, I guess my boss may be partly right. A foreign staff will not havalmost ie the same sense of belonging and may not have a high level of tolerance as us, the locals. I have since recommended my IRAS volunteer friend, Wendy to join my company. I was quite surprised that my boss had hired her on the spot when she came by for the interview the other day and she started work almost immediately the following week. I did not expect that she was pretty careless in her work, and her handwriting was pretty horrible. In fact, her carelessness nearly caused my company to lose money. My boss was thinking about whether if she should axe her. I was left wondering if I have made the wrong choice of recommending her to work at my office, since my initial choice did not wish to
