I was asked to go to this picnic by my long time net friend, Germaine, who set up a new Facebook Group, Picnic East Coast . This was her group's 2nd picnic and it was by far the biggest picnic that I have attended. There were close to 30 of us with almost half the guests I knew, as they were mostly from my singing group, the Libraboys Group & Singapore Facebook Singles Group. Therefore, I was asked to assist her with some co-ordination before this. Have to thank her friends, Lynsey, for coming my house to pick me up, Chiam, Maria & Joey for sharing the cab home with me and Germaine for helping me to get the food that I was supposed to get for the picnic as I told her most likely, I would be doing my self study for my upcoming exams, therefore I don't have time to buy the stuff. It has been about 2 weeks since it has happened, a week since I handed the matter to CASE to handle the matters for me. But since it is my money, I feel that it is only right that I should do the chasing myself to try to expedite the refund of my money. This is especially when this type of the company is in the news . There is always a possibility that I won't get my money back Managed to get hold of the company. An officer had spoke to me about the issue. At first I thought it was just standard operating proccedures with regards to refund. I was highlighted by mum that I may be asked to meet the sales consultant again to reconsider signing the option. Sensing this, I thought it will be good to send an e-mail to CASE to update them about what is being done by me and got them to try to follow up for me. If I have not done so, I wonder how long they are going to take to refund the money to me?

I have been busy recently as my senior is on leave till 1 Dec. After her leave, its my turn to go on my study leave to prepare for my paper on 9 Dec. It was nearly a nightmare to cover for this senior of mine, as she always kept her work within her own confines and she liked things to be done her style, so I had to change my style to suit her style. If not for my manager's assistance, I doubt I would pass through this week. My mood was getting better after the cheating incident, till a person whom I used to consider as a close friend of mine had requested for some financial assistance on Wed. I felt bad rejecting her but I felt I had to as I am actually in a crisis now, due to my moment of madness, or should I say stupidity. I thought that she must be thinking that I was joking when I said I was cheated on one of the days that I messaged her. Was not surprised to read in The New Paper yesterday that more people are being duped into signing timeshare agreements unknowingly like me. One of the company listed on the paper was the company that duped me into signing the agreement and making me part with a sum of my money. The news has made my mum nervy again. Unwittingly, it has caused even more pressure on me. This has come at the wrong time, not when I am going for my exam soon and covering my senior's job at the same time. I just called the Small Claims Tribunal website. It does not handle such disputes. Anyway it has been a week plus since the incident happened. I have called them up twice to check the status of the refund. The answer I got today was better. I should get my money back next week, which I am confident of. Since the incident occurred, it seemed that I have more faith in my religion thus increasing my confidence.

I met up with mum at Hougang Central Interchange for our usual prayer session at SSA Tampines Centre today. As the Service 27 was travelling along Sengkang, a passenger boarded the bus. As the bus was crowded, he decided to climb on the pole and sat in the empty space. The bus driver continued the journey before asking the passenger to get off the empty space. I thought the way he was sitting made him look like he was going to fall anytime as he was slouching. Maybe he was too fat. The purpose of sharing this story is the new Scania Bus that comes with 2 boxes of empty space in the front of the bus is not meant for sitting. I received an sms from Michelle on Wed stating that she was planning a birthday surprise for Jean at Serenity Cafe, Vivo City yesterday nite. It has been a hectic and stressful week for me, so I thought it was a good idea to join them for the birthday celebration. Anyway, I was glad to be part of the celebrations as I had only known Karen & Jean from joining Singapore Facebook Singles a few months ago. I was assigned by Michelle to get the cake at the last minute as the ladies and my KTV buddy, Jonathan does not work in town. It was tough looking for the cake though as until yesterday, I was only aware that TCC and Starbucks only sells slices of cakes but not in whole. I was aware that the cakes at Hilton Hotel, which is beside my office, is very very expensive. In the end, I got the above cake, Chocolate Indulgence from Secret Recipe. Was at CASE to resolve the issue that I wrote in my previous post. Hailed a Comfort cab to get to work as have only applied for time off. I must say he was one of the most irritating drivers that I have ever met. He was talking all the way in the journey about the healthcare product that he was selling. I was already very angry and he just kept yaking away. My mum asked him to stop, he just continued. When the cab reached my workplace, he refused to enter the lobby of my office building, stating that it was 麻烦. I paid the carpark charge to shut his mouth. I just wonder why is there such a cabby spoiling Singapore's image?

I was thinking if I should write about how I was duped into signing the corporate travel plan last Fri in here so that you guys can be more aware about this new form of trick in the market. My mum is supportive of me to blog about this, since it will create awareness to all of you and don't end up like me being cheated. I got a call on Fri afternoon, stating I have won something like a holiday trip from this company, which I told them I was not interested as I don't remember participating in any travel contest recently. I tried to hang up the call after that but they were very persistent and the threats would not work as they persistently call back. Went down to that office,and listened to "that 45 min presentation" that was one to one. In the end, the presentation was close to 3 hrs. I tried my best to reject them, stating reasons like I do not have the budget for that and so on and so for, but they would try to work out something which they feel is a "best

Had been busy and unlucky week for me. Was conned into signing a timeshare agreement on Fri. There seems to be a new tactic going on, and sad to say, I was one of the victims that have fallen for it. Hopefully, I will get it resolved soon and the money which I paid back to my pocket. I have to thank my mum for being a CASE member, otherwise I would not know how to resolve the issue. The matter is pending resolution, so therefore I can't say too much here. A young relative of mine recently dropped out of school after chalking up huge debts in the root of all evil, gambling. I was telling my mum that he should be taught a harsh lesson, even it means sending him for reformative training as we can't always keep settling this sort of thing. It is like a bottomless pit. If you were me, what will you do if u r in such a situation?

After hearing the phone call of the lucky draw, mum was of the view that since the house phone was under utilised since all of us have handphones and are either out at work at the day. She felt that it was good to save some costs, since I have another fixed line for internet purposes and we kept receiving nuisance or unwanted calls. I felt that she was overreacting. Personally, I felt that usage of handphones was bad for health. I try to sms as much as possible due to the fear of radiation and I agree with dad that you will defintely lose some contacts as house phone numbers are listed on the residential listings. Let's say if your foreign friend is looking for you from the airport, they can easily locate your number. What's your view on this?

I thought and felt that I should share this with my readers to prevent you all from being cheated by these people like what happened to one of my family members. We were on this timeshare holiday scheme which allows us to go on a holiday at anytime of the year with Company A. It may seem a good deal, and we found that we had to pay a sum for the membership and the maintenance fee of the "so called" resort every year. Later, the victim receives an offer to sell off his membership with Company A to Company B. But unknowingly he is tricked to enter into another contract where all the payments start again after "selling" the membership. This vicious cycle comes by again when this relative of mine, completes his payment of instalments. Recently, another of this type of company has sprung up. My advice to my readers is that should you receive this kind of call, claiming that you have won a prize or something when you know that you have not been lucky all your life, or you

  Once again, it was the monthly gathering of the Singing @ K Group. This event was highly anticipated as we were supposed to celebrate our Chairman, Lawerence Yaoxiang's birthday as his birthday is approaching. Unfortunately, due to a last min work schedule change, he was not able to join us. The same reason was stated for the rest of them who could not come at the last minute.
