Finally fixed it!!!

Went to Jason's house to try to repair his notebook, but it looks like the XP software in the notebook is quite badly corrupted, can't even open the security center function, MSN & some websites. I told him to get it serviced at the Acer Centre at Jurong. We also went to shop for his birthday present. This year, he chose a watch & a pair of pants as his present.Actually I do not mind spending more than $50 for a friend's birthday present if we are close friends or good friends. At the same time, he booked the resturant for our dinner on 13 Aug. He is giving us a treat. A regular feature for all of us when our birthday arrives. After Jason's birthday, it would be Stella's birthday. I do not know what to get for her and if she wants any meals, since she joined my friends not long ago. Even though we can't be together, I am glad that we are still friends. I also didn't regret introducing her to my friends. Not like that Mr A, I am still regretting it no

Get to know yourself better

http://quizbox.com/personality/test82.aspx Got this from my net friend's blog. Ling's website. It is quite accurate for me. Maybe u guys can try yours. Your view on yourself:You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties. The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes. Your readiness to commit to a relationship:You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person. The seriousness of your love:You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really

Hell week with a bit fun

This week was a hell week peppered with a bit of surprise.Rebecca, the other net friend that I said I was going to meet, messaged me on Tuesday & said that "Let's meet for dinner." I thought , "Oh, since my mum was not cooking dinner as she was giving tuition, I decided to meet her. After some exchange of messages, we decided to meet at Suntec City. When I reached there at about 6pm, I went to deposit my pay cheque first before continuing my wait for her. She came at about 45 minutes later. It was a surprise that she actually can tell who I am. Maybe we were in the same poly, our departments share the same academic blocks. We walked to Sakae Sushi to have our dinner. Had a hard time finding the resturant though. Sometimes I wonder why Suntec can't have clear signs. Had a light and hearty meal & at the same time, knew more about each other. It was fun & interesting. I really enjoyed myself, hope Rebecca did too.

An Inspiration To Me & Other Disabled People

I was having my usual lunchtime breather today when I came across a TNP article that really tugged my heartstrings. A 22 year old guy, who is paralysed from waist down after an accident still managed to complete his poly diploma. I felt that I am defintely more lucky than him, having the ability to walk & work. I truly admire his courage & persistence. It is an inspiration for me as well. Not like some people who do not appreciate people's help. I leave it for you guys to judge. Just to say a big thank you to those of my friends who believe I won't do such a thing to him. Even my mum is surprised by his attitude. Here is what he wrote in his blog. He said he's not going to care, well I just leave it for you guys to judge. http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=humourboi For me the article will always be my inspiration. Its a energy recharger for me.

Lazy People with Stupid excuses

Just wonder why in my life recently, there are so many people who are so lazy & yet always find stupid excuses for themselves for their laziness.First it was A, then this time is my cousin. She has the cheek to tell her mum that the English tuition that I gave her s****. I only made her do comprehensions, explain & mark it, that's all. I was thinking "Isn't this the way to cope with exam time management, by practising, as the saying goes, practice makes perfect." Looks like she just find stupid excuse for herself to skip it. I have told my mum, I would rather spend my time, teach my brother than teaching her. I am doing her a service, if not for the request for my mum. Sometimes I find it funny how people think. Haiz:(

Dad Found a Job

Halfway through my dinner yesterday, I received a call from my dad, saying that he had found a full-time job & will start work on Tuesday. As for the taxi driving, he is still considering if he wants to continue driving on Friday & Saturday. I advised him that, since this job gives significantly lower pay than his previous job, he may want to consider driving on Friday & Saturday. I said its all up to him. If he is not planning to continue, my burden will be slightly greater. As I always tell my mum that I do not always spend a lot. I spend about $700 a month, which includes allowance to my mum. I can always manage to save the balance of my pay each month, except for the past 2 months, the family finances were pretty tight & also my wisdom tooth operation cost me a bomb. I have told my mum that I will be taking a break from my ACCA studies from Jan 2006. The break is expected to be about half a year to a year. I have been feeling very stressed about my job, with all the

Poly Friend B-Day Gathering

Today is one of my best poly friends birthday. Through my blog here, just want to wish Caifeng a happy birthday. Time really flies, we know each other for about 7 years already. Really hope that our friendship can go deeper & last as long as we are around. We went to Clarke Quay and had our dinner at one of the small eateries there yesterday. Although there were only 4 of us, Caifeng, Jason, Kelvin & myself, we enjoyed ourselves. Particularly, I enjoyed the sting-ray & prawns. The paying part of the dinner was very funny. Jason & I thought that the couple was going to bring us to some kind of resturants at Clarke Quay, so Jason & I thought that we could use our credit cards, but as we stepped into the eatery, we were thinking, "oh my god, not enough cash to pay for the meal. " We wanted to treat Caifeng, even though she said there was no need to as we had given her the sports voucher she wanted. She appeared to know that I had paid more as Stella was sayin

Are Singaporeans Becoming Unfeeling?

I was travelling on a public bus to work yesterday. Just after 3 bus stops, the bus unexpectedly broke down. The bus captain was calling out for people to lend their handphone for him to call his office. Nobody was willing to lend him, In the end, I lent my handphone to him, helped him to call his office. He was quite thankful to me. He said he treat me a drink when he sees me at Hougang Central Interchange. Actually, this is not the first time I have taken a ride on a bus that has broken down. I think the worst one was the Service 74 bus with a broken wiper and another Service 74 with a deflated tyre. So I am actually aware of what the bus captain needs. But I am saddened by the fact that are Singaporeans becoming so unfeeling? Why you don't want to lend your handphone to help the bus captain to call his office?

Stupid Or Plain Lazy Or Just Can't Be Bothered

I was pretty angry with one of my friends yesterday. Let's just call this guy "A" to prevent a violent backlash or reprecussion from him later. I lent him the MS Office CD in order to help him to be able to use MS Office to help him do up his resume, to enable him to use the resume to find a good job, help his family members lighten their burden. I wonder if A is too engrossed in his volunteer work or what. He seemed to have forgotten what is his purpose of studying for his diploma. I do know that jobs are a bit hard to come by nowadays. It just means that all the more you can't afford to be choosy. What I mean is, so long as the job is able to keep you occupied in terms of money, happiness & satisfaction, you should take up the job. Yesterday he had the cheek to tell me that he has not copied the software into his PC, or made a copy for himself. He said he was too busy, (I guessed with his volunteer work). Not only that, he was late for our appointment again. Thi

The Backlash

I was not surprised by the shocking relevations in the NKF - ST trial revealed so much details about his salary & perks. As a tax assistant, a person who calculate taxes for people, a charity needs to spend 80% of its funds it has raised for the year in order for it not to be taxed. Judging from the amount that NKF has raised through the TV shows, schools & other types of fund raising actitives, it raises about $20m. The charity has to spend $16m, in order not to be taxed. This is the result of his huge salary & travel perks. He is too greedy. He should be gone for good.

Time for R & R???

I finally had a chance of a good sleep yesterday. Have been sleeping in less than 8 hours per day for the past 3 weeks or so. I guess due to work stress. This also explains why I have been filling my saturdays with relaxing activities, such as meeting up with friends or net friends. I have not been happy with my job recently, partly due to that b***. That woman has been stabbing me in the back many times. She even try to use my lady boss' favourtism for her to order me to do work, or should I say overtime. If this continues, I guess I am going crazy already. I am already considering I should stop my studies for a while, maybe a year or half a year. Many unfortunate events have been happening to me and my family. Just hope that there is chance for the job that I went for interview 3 weeks ago. :) Going nuts liao. :)

Singing Session

Went for a KTV session with a net friend at Serangoon Garden. It has been a while since I last met a net friend after the "Who Lives Near You" rubbish that made me delete my old blog & replace it with a new one here & quite a while since I last had KTV session. It was very fun with her and friends, & I must say it was a good reliever for the stress that I had this week. However, the KTV sound system & air conditioning system cannot be compared to the KBoxes that I went. The songs aren't that new also. But still have to thank Huixuan, thanks for making it a happy day & must say I didn't regret meeting you. You are just what I had thought about before I met u. Let's see how we proceed from there.

Suntec City

Yesterday met up with my poly friends at Suntec City for a gathering, instead of going to my granny's birthday, cos I reckoned that I will be more happy to be with my friends than be with my relatives. Was quite unhappy that they were not very considerate when planning for the dinner, as they did not consider the fact that my dad was driving. They just went ahead with that date. My dad did not want to go in the 1st place, & told us not to go as well, save a bit of money. So when my poly friends said that they wanted to meet up, I agreed. I did not regret meet up with them, as two of my female friends announced their marriage plans. We chatted a lot during the coffee & makan session. Thanks for making my day, a happy day.

Busy Busy

This week was a busy and stressful week for me as the senior stab me in the back. She complain me to my lady boss that I had errors in my work. My boss gave me a good talk. I did not talk back as I wanted to know what other nasty things the senior say. I just guess I made the right move. Thanks to them too, had to work overtime for the whole week, save for wed, when my tooth was giving me problems. I went to the dental clinic to remend my filling & took half day leave, but came back just after 2.5 hours. She didn't say anything about the additional hours I clock. I still remember that on wed, I work till I was so tired that I called cab to get home. In the end, after confirming the cab, my dad called up, he asked me to cancel the booking & he will pick me. Thanks dad, it was sweet.
