Nursing Eye Infection This month has been a sickly month for me. I am on MC again, thanks to a left eye infection. Wonder what my boss will think, but I can’t be bothered as I am really really sick. Just do not want to spread the infection to my colleagues. My colleagues can be quite callous with their remarks sometimes. They can say things like, “ Your eye like that, still come to work, please don’t spread it to us.”   Unlike my mum, who asked me to go to work, despite seeing my eyelid & bottom part of my pupil, covered in red streaks of blood. I must say she can be a little crazy sometimes, especially these few months. Just hope all these bugs get away from me soon. Shoo Shoo.     

My boss sprang a surprise on us today by giving us a buffet lunch treat at Plaza Parkroyal Hotel at Beach Road. He said it was to thank us for the hard work that we have put in during the peak period. The lunch, I guessed cost about $400 for the 14 of us. The food was good, and we had a good time mingling around, building rapport. I just wish to thank my boss, Mr Yee & Chirstine for the lunch. I will keep up the good work.  

My cousin is getting married tomorrow, but my relatives were not aware of it till yesterday. You may be wondering why they were not aware of such a big event that is happening in my cousin’s life.  My cousin chose not to let them know, as they can be pretty sarcastic with their comments.  However, I knew that trouble was brewing when my cousin messaged me. When I called her, she sounded sad as she told me that her dad had let the cat out of the bag. He had told my 3rd Aunt that my cousin was getting married. In the evening, my 3rd Aunt, I suppose held a “so-called family conference” before calling her place, and started to ask stupid questions, like, “ How much dowry did my cousin’s husband give to my uncle?, How many tables you planning for customary? , When is the customary?”  If I am the one to answer them, the first thing, I will fire at them is “Does it concern you? Yesterday, I met up with my cousin, Jolene at Suntec City. She has become prettier already. I guess the reason is she is getting married on this coming Thursday, 29 September. I guess gals are always pretty when they are getting married. I got her a purple gold necklace from Lee Hwa Jewellery as a wedding cum birthday present. Although I spent quite a bomb ( got nagged at by mum for buying this) , I was quite glad that she liked it. (

I went to the Samsung Service Centre at Suntec City to repair the E700A handphone that my brother spoiled that day. Even though I know how much they were going to charge for the replacement LCD screen, I still acted blur, as though I did not know that the charge could be so high. In the end, the Customer Service Officer decided that she would replace the front & back cover of the handphone at $60, upgrade the phone software & replace the LCD screen at no charge. I whispered to my brother “It is good to act stupid sometimes.”   After the service at the Service Centre, I took a look at several Samsung handphone that I have been thinking about. After hearing what the salesgirl say, I will most likely take the Samsung E730.  The functions are the same as Samsung E720, just that it comes with an additional radio. Got an sms from my brother today. He told me that the LCD screen of the Samsung E700A handphone that I passed to him to use was blinking. I was so angry. Its a very good handphone, and I had passed to him to use about five months ago, after the 2nd hand Nokia 6610 handphone that I bought for him was having some problems. I should be sending the handphone to Samsung for repairs, most likely this Saturday, as I haven't got my pay yet. I am really broke this month, paid for my course fee, friend's b-day gift (please see previous entry), family & relative lendings. My cousin going ROM on 29 Sep. Dunno what to give her. Anyway, we are meeting up next Monday, so maybe I give her & her husband a treat as wedding gift. Haha:)

Snow Wolf Lake @ Singapore Indoor Stadium Hey, as promised, I wrote in my previous entry that I was going to write about Snow Wolf Lake ( 雪狼湖 ) after watching it, so here you go. I am thinking where to bring Stella for dinner at Suntec City later. I do know that Crystal Jade has renovated its outlet, so maybe I am thinking to bring her there, or maybe Sakae Sushi. Then we would go to Singapore Indoor Stadium by bus to catch Snow Wolf Lake. I can hardly wait.

I was on the office internal call with one of my colleagues as she was asking me about one of the clients' tax matters. I suppose that is part of my job.On the other hand, I was advising another client on some tax payment matters, through an e-mail. How was I suppose to answer another phone call? That old virgin just shouted at me to pick up the phone. The Audit Senior just walked out of her room & asked me to stop shouting. She said " This is an office & there are clients around." I was quite stunned, as I was too engrossed in my work, therefore how could I possibly have shouted? I was getting ready for work when the diahorrea struck me again. My mum was very shocked. She asked me to stop preparing for work & see a doctor. The reason why I was thinking that I should work was I had been on MC for my sore throat & flu this month. I thought I was able to hang on, but it was not to be. The sharp pain in my abdomen & diahorrea was too much for me to bear. My whole body just collapsed on me. Went in & out of the too 6 times. So can you imagine how bad it was? The clinic assistant & doctor just asked me for my name, without asking me to write it down. This shows how regular I have been to the clinic this month. Ha ha. She was on the verge to tears when I told her that my friends & I actually paid for it. (As usual, I will be paying more for the gift this round, as Caifeng has asked me to help her out). I just went to a handphone shop in Toa Payoh to get the handphone for Stella. I just realized that M1 shop is selling that handphone without any contract for $236. But I got the handphone for her at $240. At first, I thought that the handphone package includes the earpiece, but to my surprise, it does not, so I had to top up about $30 for the earpiece. So I actually end up paying about $4 more, because the M1 package has an earpiece thrown in as well. I was awoken by the shouts of my mum at my brother. Looks like my brother was either surfing the Internet or playing FIFA 2005 in the early morning again, before he went to church. After my mum shouted at him already, it was my turn already. She asked me to go & get the birthday present for Stella today. Oh my god, I was telling myself . Her birthday is on 19 Oct, what's the rush? She is still thinking about Jason going after Stella. Please be more constructive. My mum has been pestering me to get Stella’s birthday present as soon as possible. ( I will be sharing with my friends to get the Nokia 6030 for her. Anyway, if ask me to get it now, I am a bit broke also, as I just paid for my ACCA course & exam fees. That alone is about $600.) I wonder why? She has this funny thought that Jason is interested in Stella. Even if he is interested in her, I can’t stop them as Stella has already said she is only interested to be friends with me. Seems like she is getting to my nerves. I have to get someone to impersonate as my girlfriend soon. I need to stop her nagging.) I cannot wait for Snow Wolf Lake to start. I have the tickets for the next Saturday’s performance. I will be going with Stella, Huiyu & Francis. I have no doubt that Jacky Cheung & Xu Hui Xin will be giving a great performance, as I have heard the CD version of their performance in Hong Kong. Its not bad. I think Nandia may not be good, from what I heard from my ex-tenant.

After furiously batting the sore throat bug & flu bag for more than a week, I am still coughing & sniffing away, despite taken many medicines & seen the doctor twice. I heard from my colleague, Linda that these two bugs has been flying around with serious deviations. Just hope I recover soon. :(

I was happy that Kelvin Chen Wei Lian had won the “Project Superstar” contest. Even though Kelly was heavily favoured throughout the contest, as described by Jason. I think you cannot underestimate the power of the people. 64% to 36%, I am sure the audience knows who has the capability and why the other person was heavily favoured. I am sure that Wei Lian did not win by sympathy votes. He won the contest with his courage. A blind person coming out to sing in front of a packed Mediacorp Studios & Singapore Indoor Stadium. It has to take the person a lot of courage to do that already, let alone a blind person. Congrats to you, Wei Lian. If your friends happen to see this, please read this entry to him. His courage has inspired me a lot as well. Hope he can go further in his singing career! However, just a point to add, I think that he is only able to sing sentimental songs, no offence though, but a singer is not good to be stereotyped just to do one type of song. Maybe he should try

Had a eventful Saturday, despite coughing & sneezing at some parts along the way. Buying of Assessment Books for my brother Accompanied my brother to Orchard MRT Popular Bookstore to get some assessment books at the order of my mother, who thinks that he is too lazy. Actually I felt that way too. Just wonder how is he going to pass his “O’ Levels this coming November. We spent about $50 just on about 4 books, on the various subjects. I just hope that he does not waste the money by not working on the assessment books.
