Looks Like A Really Big Scale Birthday Bash For Me?

I think my birthday bash this round may just be the biggest that I ever hosted at my own expense as 2 of my new net friends plan to join in, which makes it a count of 12. My brother also said he wanted to join me, as he feels bored, sitting at home waiting for his O Level results.

I have been trying to find a job for him, but to date, I have heard nothing. Maybe the market is bad.

Thanks to Mag & Krys, I try to make you guys feel comfortable that day of the bash.

Movie Outing Plan With Fellow Blogger Friends

I guess Darling, SR & Rich want to watch "Memiors of A Geisha", especially after the ladies were so engrossed in the book at MPH during our last meeting. There are certain things which some Chinese are pretty particular with:- Happy and sad events can't clash together within 100 days to a year. If a relative or loved one were to pass away, the immediate family member can't attend a happy event, like wedding & housewarming. The Teochews treat their eldest male grandchild as their youngest son. If you are getting married & your friend who is getting married invites you to his wedding, u are not allowed to attend. The old people say happy events clash. The red packet can't be given twice for a happy event. Likewise for the condolence packet. One should not give shoes or lamp to a birthday boy or gal, as it is believed that you may bring the person to his deathbed. These are some interesting stuff to share, especially to some blog readers who are not living in a place filled with Chinese.
