Shocking Things from Boss

Today is my 1st day back at office after the CNY break. Some unwelcome changes greeted me throughout the morning.

  1. The b*** used the Audit Manager's name as an excuse to try to keep track of our leave & MC status. I feel that for someone that takes 1 day of any type of leave each week still have the cheek to keep track of people. The tax & accounting dept do not need the Audit Manager's approval or your approval when we take our leave.We only need to let the partner know.
  2. My boss left 2 oranges on each staff's table & did away with the "开工红包". Fortunately, my second boss has said that he will give me one tomorrow. I do believe it is a small gesture to thank me as I always buy newspaper for him.

Nonetheless, I will be "returning the oranges" in line with the CNY custom of wishing each other good luck. To me, I feel that its just a small matter with regards to the "开工红包", as I knew the reasons behind this, which I can't disclose it here. But, like what Jason & Darling said, the gesture is a bit too much, from a big sum (to me that is.) to zero.

Anyway, the plan is slowly falling into place. I will not disclose much here till everything is confirmed. This is also to protect myself just in case my colleagues may stump into this site.

is true..you know my non-chinese workers ask me for chinese food or snacks this week.

i don't mind sharing to a few ppl...not everyone....coz there are those abc (bananas) that i don't like. like they say, if they eat the food of the person that you know don't like you. it's a bad curse...ai yah..me cursing ppl already...*LOL*

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
