Mum's CT Scan Results

I was on leave today to accompany mum for her collection of her CT scan result. The result was a postive one, even though it showed that my mum had 4 infections. As a result, it made her sore throat persistent.

I was relieved that it was not the scary C word. I knew that Richard, Jason, Rebecca & Eriko were anxious to know what happened after they heard that she went for the scan.

Just wish to thank them for their sms messages after I told them the results. I knew that they were happy for me and my mum. Of course, I didn't forget the rest of you who asked about my mum. I am very thankful for your support.

Movie Outing Plan With Fellow Blogger Friends

I guess Darling, SR & Rich want to watch "Memiors of A Geisha", especially after the ladies were so engrossed in the book at MPH during our last meeting. There are certain things which some Chinese are pretty particular with:- Happy and sad events can't clash together within 100 days to a year. If a relative or loved one were to pass away, the immediate family member can't attend a happy event, like wedding & housewarming. The Teochews treat their eldest male grandchild as their youngest son. If you are getting married & your friend who is getting married invites you to his wedding, u are not allowed to attend. The old people say happy events clash. The red packet can't be given twice for a happy event. Likewise for the condolence packet. One should not give shoes or lamp to a birthday boy or gal, as it is believed that you may bring the person to his deathbed. These are some interesting stuff to share, especially to some blog readers who are not living in a place filled with Chinese.
