Internet Network Crash & Office Monitor Down

I actually wanted to blog this yesterday, but unfortunately the Taiwan earthquake had knocked out the Internet connection to Blogger.

I wonder what's with my job recently. One low point after another. Yesterday my PC monitor in the office blacked out in front of me after lunch. From then on, I had to use the audit dept's PC to work. To think that my lady boss actually started to throw out the accounts that I have not asked for extension of time (I did it as per her husband instruction the last time.) at the time. To think, I have to keep shuttling between 2 tables to get my job done. Although I did some back up, but there was still some files which I need to use which was in the computer that I have been using. To think that my boss has not decided to change the monitor.

Fortunately, I got my ex-colleague of my ex firm, R to get me a CRT monitor, since he was also helping me to get another one to replace the current one I am using at home. I know u people may be laughing at me at why I m still using CRT monitor instead of LCD monitor. I am seriously considering to change but not this month, maybe after CNY, when I get my angpow, then I will change to a LCD screen. I don't want to think about bonus now as I think it will not be much.

mei, u r nt the 1st one to say tt my co is like that. Anyway, I am still working w/o a monitor.

One of my fren say I shld stop work and make him take notice.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
