Marathon @ Elaine's Place

My sister, Elaine invited me & Wendy mei to her house. She actually wanted to have a Chirstmas party for all of us, but I guess she is still sick with her ear block, so Wendy & I just treated as a bonding session for 2 days.

Although it was raining heavily as I made my way to AMK MRT to meet Wendy on Sunday, we still managed to make to Elaine's house in one piece. Wendy & I were greeted by Elaine's mum and eldest sister. We are touched by the hospitality that Elaine's family showered us. Please allow me to thank her family one by one.

  1. Her mum - Auntie is a friendly person, just like mei mei. Like mother, like daughter. Thanks for the delicious dinner.
  2. Her brother - Thanks for letting me have your bed for the nite. I felt bad that u had to have the floor.
  3. Her father - Uncle is a friendly person too. Thanks for the nice lunch and your tolerance for letting us sleep till noon.
  4. Her sister - Thanks for her hospitality and friendliness. Although I got to admit she is too friendly already. But I understand the reason behind it after what mei mei told me about her.

Just a short write up about what we did at her place:-

  1. Played poker cards & Uno
  2. Watched the last 6 epsiodes of " 冲上云霄" at her place. I really like the ending I must say.
  3. Elaine used Tarot to foretell my love life. I must say it was so accurate and the foretell made me feel that I have made the right decision about what I should go for now.

We left her house at 4pm today to catch a movie together.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
