PC Monitor Going Anytime

My PC monitor, which I have been using since my old Acer monitor blacked out six years ago, has been flickering recently.

My friend, Roy has been trying to recommend me the LG monitor, but I am not too confident about LG monitor @ $285. My office PC service technician has recommended me the Samsung 740N monitor at $299.

I guess I will be asking my pal to accompany me to Sim Lim Square after my paper to take a look at which monitor to select and also to fix it for me. I guess it will be cheaper that way.

What do you guys think of the monitors?

Movie Outing Plan With Fellow Blogger Friends

I guess Darling, SR & Rich want to watch "Memiors of A Geisha", especially after the ladies were so engrossed in the book at MPH during our last meeting. There are certain things which some Chinese are pretty particular with:- Happy and sad events can't clash together within 100 days to a year. If a relative or loved one were to pass away, the immediate family member can't attend a happy event, like wedding & housewarming. The Teochews treat their eldest male grandchild as their youngest son. If you are getting married & your friend who is getting married invites you to his wedding, u are not allowed to attend. The old people say happy events clash. The red packet can't be given twice for a happy event. Likewise for the condolence packet. One should not give shoes or lamp to a birthday boy or gal, as it is believed that you may bring the person to his deathbed. These are some interesting stuff to share, especially to some blog readers who are not living in a place filled with Chinese.
