7 Hour Revision Day

I met up with Von for a 7 hour revision day at FTC yesterday. I was quite surprised that I exceeded what I wanted to cover in school today. Maybe, like what mum said, having a friend to study with you is a way of motivating myself.

During the course of the revision, which I tried the various past year questions due to the lack of time and the exam questions are linked to various topics and not just a single topic on its own, I find that the examiners really had the brain power to link up the questions so well.

Von asked me what actually happened between me & AF the other day. I told her what happened in detail. She agreed that the AF was in the wrong too. I told Von that if not for Caifeng, I guess I will not want to see her too. Like what D said, a 10 year friend should not be passing such hurtful comments everytime when we met up. If a friend always do this to you, I guess you can just ignore her. She needs to lose some friends to let her learn her lesson.
After that, mum got me to accompany her to purchase her investment portfoilo @ Orchard Takashimaya Shopping Centre. At the same time, she took the opportunity to get me to set aside some money to a new savings bank account. I am actually looking at the Fairprice Plus Savings Account by OCBC. I guess I will be going to do the necessary paperwork soon.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
