Back to Work Officially

Although I went back to work on Sat, today is the 1st official working day for me, since I do not usually work on a Sat.

I was glad that I made the decision to hop back to work on Sat as there were a lot of unexpected things today. Is it because its a Monday? Or some people just like to spoil people's Monday with their blues?

Stayed in office for my 2nd longest time today, left about 7.30pm from my office alone. A lot of work is still uncleared. Can anyone help me?

Movie Outing Plan With Fellow Blogger Friends

I guess Darling, SR & Rich want to watch "Memiors of A Geisha", especially after the ladies were so engrossed in the book at MPH during our last meeting. There are certain things which some Chinese are pretty particular with:- Happy and sad events can't clash together within 100 days to a year. If a relative or loved one were to pass away, the immediate family member can't attend a happy event, like wedding & housewarming. The Teochews treat their eldest male grandchild as their youngest son. If you are getting married & your friend who is getting married invites you to his wedding, u are not allowed to attend. The old people say happy events clash. The red packet can't be given twice for a happy event. Likewise for the condolence packet. One should not give shoes or lamp to a birthday boy or gal, as it is believed that you may bring the person to his deathbed. These are some interesting stuff to share, especially to some blog readers who are not living in a place filled with Chinese.
