Eventful Sunday

It was an eventful Sunday for me as I met up with a new net friend, G, who tried to introduce to me a new network marketing product, Ginseng powder & Ginseng pill. As you guys should know, I am usually not very interested in such MLM products, especially after I was in this line before in Forever Living Products. Even if I were to consume the product as a consumer, 1 bottle of ginseng powder that lasts for a month, according to the sales pitch is about $300. I believe that ginseng has its medical value, but a product of this nature is too pricey for a worker like me.

The worst part was G introduced one of her female friends to me. This lady, to my horror, is a stalker. Ever since she got my no, she started to call me at night or sms me non-stop. Arrrgh. The worst part is she doesn't read English sms. She reads only Chinese sms, so can u imagine my exsaperation to tell her in hanyu pinyin to tell her to stop pestering me. I have tried to be friends with her, but I guess she is just not my cup of tea. Please teach me how to stop the stalker.

Was back home for a steamboat dinner as it was my brother's birthday yesterday. Not only that, it is my tenant's birthday tomorrow. The dinner became a nasty one as my dad, who is still angry about my brother's change of church that happened not too long ago, refused to buy him a cake and said some nasty words that can't be printed here.In the end, my mum went to buy the cake. My dad also refused to join in the birthday celebration. This explains why in the photos, there are only my mum, my brother and myself.

I wonder when is the war between my father & brother going to end? It has escalated to a stage where my dad has stopped giving my brother pocket money.

Let's hope it ends soon.

Sorry to hear this Paul...hope the misunderstanding would be cleared soon. Afterall we do have tiff with family members once in a while but it'll soon go off.

Talk to your Brother and explain to him....once he is cool off he can start to have some talk with your Father and let bygones be bygones :)

I have already sms her on Mon that I am not interested as I don't even know her that well and told her to stop sms n calling me.

But to date, she is still doing it.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
