Ugly Singaporeans Rear Their Heads

I was taking my usual bus, Service 147A (SBS 7319) to work today. As usual, the bus will be crowded after it reaches Serangoon Stadium. As I knew the bus captain, I decided to help him to get people to move to the rear of the bus to allow people to board.
There were these 2 people, a turban guy and a Indian lady who shouted at me & say, " You should take care of yourself first, and u r seated. U should give up your seats to the old man like me. " I shouted back at him, I said, "U didn't even see I am handicapped. I am trying to help the bus driver here. If u all move back, each person only take a min of your time. A bus carries 120 passengers, how many mins is saved?"
I wonder what is the sign " Please move to the rear" displayed at the front of the bus used for. To these two people, u dun even have a heart. You only think about yourselves. Is there a ghost at the back of the new Wheelchair Accessible Bus?

Sorry to hear that hey are so inconsiderate and the guts to tell you off.

Sometimes I feel like giving my two cents' worth too but sadly there will always be ugly Singaporean.

Uniform is authority. What the bus driver says, people will do, though not happily.

However, coming from someone seated, plus not in uniform, the response may not be positive. It just happens. Sometimes, trying to help results in a negative outcome.

Don't be too upset, for we're all human. Don't stop trying to be helpful too. I'm sure they'll see your efforts for what they are one day.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
