New Blogskin

Decided to give myself a change in blogskin, after so many things happen around me lately. Maybe a change is a good start of better things to come in the following weeks or months.

  1. My office will be shrinking in size, from 3 units to 2 units from 1 Nov 2007. Who would like to be paired with in my area? I have always been alone, occupying 2 tables, with 2 PCs & being in the company of my work files.
  2. If any pairing is to come by, it may not last long. Some of you may have heard me saying that I was selected for a 2nd interview. The results should be known next week. If all goes well, I hope to start soon, though the management of the prospect may have other ideas as he doesn't want my exam schedule to affect my new job.
  3. A kaypoh colleague of mine has been wanting to know about my blog. Well, I am not saying anything to her as I know she has a loud mouth and always say bad things about me.
  4. Looking forward to Nov & Dec as 2 of my close friends, Ms S & Mrs Tan are having their customary weddings and it will be my exams and birthday to look forward to as well.

Do give me your views about the change. I know it is just a standard template change as I do not know where & how to go about to change my template in widget formats in Blogger, unless some of you who know are willing to teach me on that.

New features on my blog

  1. Snapshots- I have updated it with a new widget on my blog. You will be able to preview my friends' blog updates if you are reading my blog.
  2. Music - Have been uploading music from Immem from a while as I find that it is more user friendly than Webtunes.
  3. Adverlets- New widget which I saw on Curryegg's blog where you can make some money just by writing blogs and publishing their adverts.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. After the dinner, we indulged ourselves in some German wine before we were asked to pose for photos. After that, we adjourned to Harry’s Bar for a drink and chat session. Jonathan was so afraid

My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
