CNY Shopping:- Brand New Paul Coming Up

Finally found time to do my CNY shopping & some errands yesterday. I went to make a new pair of specs. Although my degrees have increased slightly for this new pair of specs, I am quite happy with the new frame and the price as the price is about $80 cheaper than what I did 2 years ago during the CNY period. I will be getting my new specs on Wed.

After that, I went for my haircut at my favourite salon, as I haven't been able to go there for a while, due to the heavy rain in recent times when I wanted to go there to cut my hair. It ended up that I always went to get my haircut at the nearby salon, which didn't do my haircut properly.

Met up with mum at Hougang Central Interchange to go to SSA for our usual prayer session before going to Orchard for shopping.

Was joined by my bro for the shopping session as the main purpose was to get some clothes for him. It ended up he was only able to get a shirt & pants from G2000 for himself. I got a shirt for myself too. It was not a fruitful trip as the price was a bit steep, even though there was a sale going on, as we couldn't find our sizes.

It ended up mum was able to find what she wanted to get at G2000, so it was a fruitful trip for her, I must say.

After that, we stopped by the Mac Cafe at Shaw Centre for a drink, before taking a bus home, as we wanted to avoid the late night shopping crowd.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
