Dinner with Ex Client

I was invited by my ex client, Emily who wanted to catch up with me for a dinner session with her yesterday at Toa Payoh Sakura Resturant.

I was surprised that she brought along two guests, her assistant, Charlene & her little niece, Sophia  with her as I thought that the dinner was only between the two of us.

It was good catching up after so long as it has been a while since I met up with her. She said that she missed my great service at the old firm as my other colleagues are not able to match up with the great service that I have been putting in for all my clients. She felt that it was my ex-firm's great loss, and they will regret it for not allowing me to train a new replacement and decided to have my boss to handle the tax matters of all the clients himself.

Little Sophia is so adorable and she studies well too. From what she told me, she is able to play the piano and has obtained Grade 4 at a young age of 10 years old. Emily was saying I was able to make her pay attention to me as I was talking. Haha. :-)

Anyway, would like to thank Emily for treating me for the dinner and allowing me to know her assistant and her niece. I also would like to thank her hubby, Ernest for sending me home with their car.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. After the dinner, we indulged ourselves in some German wine before we were asked to pose for photos. After that, we adjourned to Harry’s Bar for a drink and chat session. Jonathan was so afraid

My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
