Busy Lesson Week
I had been quite busy since Sunday, thus this explains partly why I haven't been blogging as much as I wish. Another reason is known to some of my friends, which I don't think it is good to post it here.
Caught this movie, which my brother and I had been anticipating for, "Quantum of Solace", which is the 22nd instalment of the James Bond 007 franchise on Sunday. The story was about "Quantum Of Solace" continues the high-octane adventures of James Bond (Daniel Craig) where it left off in "Casino Royale". Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth after the betrayal of his beloved Vesper, Bond and M (Judi Dench) interrogate Mr White (Jesper Christensen). Forensic intelligence links an MI6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where Bond meets the beautiful but feisty Camille (Olga Kurylenko), who leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), a major force within the mysterious organisation known as Green Planet. As he gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, Agent 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists and even M, to unravel Greene's sinister plan and stop his organisation.
I must say I was quite a surprise to see that there was no much interaction between James Bond & the Bond girls, but I still enjoyed the movie.
Had a chance to window shop at the new Northpoint Shopping Centre too.
On Monday, I had to direct a bus captain who was not too familar with the bus route. I wasn't anticipating that it is becoming a daily thing on the various bus services that I travelled on this few days had new drivers or drivers that are not too familar with the service route. I am glad that my knowledge of bus routes have been put into use this round.
Had a meeting with boss, who feedbacked that other depts were complaining that we were too noisy again. Was asked to tone down. Also got some news that some of us may be facing the axe, as my junior partners feel that some of them have underperformed their duties. I don't think I will be one of them. Also got to know that I would not be seconded to the secretarial dept to assist them in their XBRL filing, as they complained that they are uncomfortable with people helping them. I thought it was good, as I do not need the additional job tasks to be put under more pressure.
My class has been going well, save for a hiccup on Mon, where some people attended class without paying money that resulted in a spot check on Wed. The spot check teams divided the students in alphabetical order and we were to go in through different doors with our student cards. If those people had been more considerate, the lecturer could have spent more time going through the techinques and questions. I wonder why these people are like that?
