Visiting Grandma

Today was out with mum for the usual weekly weekend praying session at SSA Tampines. We were not there for 2 weekends already as the weather was always raining as we wanted to step out of the house. My mum & my mind were also on the cheating case. It is quite fortunate that it is coming to an end soon.

Mum asked me to join her today to pray for the success of my exam paper on Tuesday, which I did. I wonder why i was so tired today, maybe due to the questions that I did on Deferred Tax, Consolidated Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Statement, Share Based Payments, Financial Instruments. I did and redo the questions that my lecturer went through in class. Hopefully it helps.

Thanks to my friends who sent me sms messages wishing me good luck for Tuesday's paper.

After that, I went to visit my grandma with my mum. My grandma has been warded in a nursing home after suffering a pelvic fracture after falling off her bed as she was trying to sit down. It is a sad sight to see her in pain, as she tried to move her right hand. But the good thing was she was still positive and did some simple excercises at our encouragement. She is also still able to recognise all of us. The worry I have about her now is her swollen right foot. I hope it is nothing serious.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. After the dinner, we indulged ourselves in some German wine before we were asked to pose for photos. After that, we adjourned to Harry’s Bar for a drink and chat session. Jonathan was so afraid

My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
