Some people who know me do know that I have to change my shoes at least 1 to 1.5 mths. Why is that so? Due to my physical condition, my shoes will wear off from the front after 1 month or so.

I was therefore quite surprised when the new pair that I bought less than a week ago was spoiled, and quite interestingly, the front part of the bottom sole had given way. This was the first time that it has happened.

I decided to head back to the shop I had bought the shoes from, Suntec City, Bata branch. I was quite surprised that the shopkeeper had agreed to change the shoes for me without any charge after I showed her what happened to the shoes.

The great service made my day!!

Movie Outing Plan With Fellow Blogger Friends

I guess Darling, SR & Rich want to watch "Memiors of A Geisha", especially after the ladies were so engrossed in the book at MPH during our last meeting. There are certain things which some Chinese are pretty particular with:- Happy and sad events can't clash together within 100 days to a year. If a relative or loved one were to pass away, the immediate family member can't attend a happy event, like wedding & housewarming. The Teochews treat their eldest male grandchild as their youngest son. If you are getting married & your friend who is getting married invites you to his wedding, u are not allowed to attend. The old people say happy events clash. The red packet can't be given twice for a happy event. Likewise for the condolence packet. One should not give shoes or lamp to a birthday boy or gal, as it is believed that you may bring the person to his deathbed. These are some interesting stuff to share, especially to some blog readers who are not living in a place filled with Chinese.
