Wardrobe Malfunction

I nearly had a bad case of wardrobe malfunction yesterday. I boarded the Bus Service 54 to work. As the bus was very crowded, and no one was willing to give up their seat to me, I had to sit at the empty space, where there used to be the position of the old validator.

Little did I noticed that there was a piece of metal that was jutting out from the space, and my pants was caught by the jutting metal. I managed to pull out my pants in the end, but it had a small hole which my mum said cannot be sewn back. It is sad as I have to get the pants altered to become my shorts. My G2000 pants!!!

Movie Outing Plan With Fellow Blogger Friends

I guess Darling, SR & Rich want to watch "Memiors of A Geisha", especially after the ladies were so engrossed in the book at MPH during our last meeting. There are certain things which some Chinese are pretty particular with:- Happy and sad events can't clash together within 100 days to a year. If a relative or loved one were to pass away, the immediate family member can't attend a happy event, like wedding & housewarming. The Teochews treat their eldest male grandchild as their youngest son. If you are getting married & your friend who is getting married invites you to his wedding, u are not allowed to attend. The old people say happy events clash. The red packet can't be given twice for a happy event. Likewise for the condolence packet. One should not give shoes or lamp to a birthday boy or gal, as it is believed that you may bring the person to his deathbed. These are some interesting stuff to share, especially to some blog readers who are not living in a place filled with Chinese.
