Handmade Wedding Invite

I met up with Angela & Chee Ping for dinner last night at Plaza Singapura. Dinner was at the BRATWURST SHOP, which is next to Carl’s Junior. The purpose for this dinner meet up was they wanted to pass me their wedding invitation card for their ROM reception on 1 Dec 2010. Since it is a weekday, I have taken a day’s leave for the occasion, since my boss has directed me to clear my annual leave by the end of this year. I have no idea when and how I can clear it as my manager will be clearing her leave in these few weeks.

It has been about a year since I last met up with them. The couple has since changed their jobs, since I last met them. The venue for their wedding was made possible as one of them works in NParks.

The dinner was also the time I met up with YC as well. As usual, he was at his funniest best. I was impressed with his new handphone, the Samsung Galaxy S. A lot of people have been giving me rave reviews about the handset, making me wanting to get it. Since I am not an avid fan of Iphone & my Creative MP3 player is still serving me well, I have decided that this would be the next phone I be getting.

When I will be getting it, I am not too sure myself as the price of the phone is still a little steep and my Samsung Jet is still serving me well.

After the dinner, I headed home together with the couple.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. After the dinner, we indulged ourselves in some German wine before we were asked to pose for photos. After that, we adjourned to Harry’s Bar for a drink and chat session. Jonathan was so afraid

My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
