Gonnie’s Birthday Celebration

I had asked Gonnie to arrange a date last week, so that we could celebrate his birthday in advance. The advance birthday celebration was also my way of saying thanks to him for attending my birthday celebration last month & treating me to lunch for my birthday.

Chloe managed to get Lance & Kianhow to join us at Marche @ 313 Somerset last night. She said that the 3 of us are regarded by him as his best friends. I am touched by it, considering the fact that I know him for only about a year. I guess as compared to Lance & KH, my friendship with him was the shortest.

I was tasked to get his birthday cake. Fortunately, after asking one of my gal friends, Evelyn,  who got my cake from 313 Somerset’s The Icing Room for my birthday, I knew where I was heading to get the cake. Initially, I had thought of creating a cake, but after much thought, Chloe & I decided against it as my art and craft sucks big time & we do not have the time to rush down from our work place to create a cake.

The dinner was a good one and I appreciate Chloe & Gonnie’s concern after reading my blog and finding out that I had been feeling down due to friendship issues and my liking of a gal, but she had rejected me. Thanks for being the listening ear as I share the story and giving me your support and advice.

After the dinner, I shared a cab with Chloe & Gonnie as we head back home.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
