Firstly I would like to wish my blog readers and friends who are reading this post a Happy Chinese  New Year.

I was given 2 days off for CNY Eve & next Monday, which means that I start work on Tuesday

Had spent CNY eve catching HK drama, 读心神探. This HK drama starring Bowie Lam & Bosco Wong is not bad. I would recommend you guys and gals to watch it. Besides that, I did a 2nd round of cleaning to my study before helping my family do some last minute shopping at Cold Storage at Nex and decorating my house with the CNY festivities and decorations before heading to bed at 3am.

My 四姨 and 三舅 became the 1st of my relatives to visit us on 1st day of CNY. After that, my family proceeded to my 二叔 house, where we had buffet lunch and a catch up session. It was good to see grandma again after about 2 months since our last visit at the old folks home. I carried on with the tradition of giving my granny an ang pow for the CNY. This was done despite the fact that we were asked not to give by a senior relative. To me, the act of giving means filial piety to the elders. By telling people this, you are telling people that we cannot be filial to our elders. I don’t think it is right.

After that, we were home to receive my 大舅and 二姨. I got to learn to play the new Monopoly Deal Game from one of my cousins.

My family was invited by my cousin to her place for a pizza dinner. We caught the movie on Ch 8 before calling it a night at 10pm.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
