Wreck It Ralph With The Ladies

The movie with Angela, Wendy & Xiuling, was an extension of my birthday celebration, which Angela was unable to make it when Xiuling & Wendy did my advance birthday celebration on 1 Dec. This was my second time that I went into the movie late, thanks to Xiuling & Angela who was rather late for the movie.

I decided to play the Santa Claus with the ladies after the movie. Angela & Wendy were particularly apologetic that they did not prepare any gifts for us, and mentioned to me & Xiuling that they were be getting souvenirs for us when they are back from their holidays to Taiwan & Thailand respectively.

The movie was a good laugh but I felt that the princess was singled out for some bad treatment, just like what I felt when I was the subject of bad treatment during my NS days.

This was what Xiuling gave me as part of the Christmas gift exchange.

Today’s outing with the ladies allowed me to discover the smartness of Angela which I had no doubt of previously. She actually said that Shaw cinemas sell expensive tidbits, popcorns & drinks. She suggested that we get them from Fairprice Xtra, which was really value for money, although I ended up buying the pack of popcorn that was uncooked. Angela actually shared with Xiuling how to bake the popcorn. The funny part was that she was also able to guess my gift for them like what Cynthia did last night.

I think I should change my gift next year, subject to my bonus in the Year 2013. =)

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
