Year 2016 In Review

It has been a while since I last blogged as I have been busy these few months with work, volunteer work and plans for a new initiative.  As the details of the new initiative are still in a discussion stage, therefore I cannot reveal the details here for the time being.

Work has not been smooth flowing as I would have liked. There are instances in the past few months that I thought of throwing in the towel, as the office politics are getting out of hand. I am being held back by the fact that the current economic situation is not well, and my bosses and my superiors are working well with me and appreciates what I am doing, so I have no choice but to close both eyes and pretend not to see what is happening.

On the friendship front, I am happy to note that everything is ok except that someone spoiled my birthday week by giving me a nasty surprise. I had wanted to terminate my friendship with this person but two of our common friends interceded for us. For me, it will be difficult to get the friendship to where it used to be.
















During these few months, I have hoped to move into a new stage in my life, to be in a relationship. Unfortunately, it could not work out. I am slowly moving on and knowing new people. Hopefully, my friends and family members who are very concerned about this will hear the good news from me soon.

I am glad to share that the singing ktv group has been doing well after the initial hiccups. I am glad that the group is attracting new members well after being moved to meetup. I am also glad that to share that the location, Voice Art has been well received.


I hereby wish all of you a fruitful Year 2017 ahead.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
