Lunch at Plaza Parkroyal

I met up with Richard & Huiyu today for a lunch cum meet up session at Plaza Parkroyal Hotel. Although this is not the 1st time I been there, I still enjoy the good food there.

It was a good chance that Richard wanted to meet up with us. We wanted to help him to forget about Irene, his ex-girlfriend. It was really a heart to heart talk session with Richard as we really aired our views about what we felt he should do. We hope he can take our advice & get on with his life.

At Huiyu's request, I have invited him for my birthday. I hope SR don't kill me for this. Richard had said something about SR, which I don't think I can disclose it here. for fear that she can kill me for this. I am not sure if he is coming or not as he does not like KTV & crowds.

After the heavy lunch, which they enjoyed very much, we went to walk at Bugis before heading our seperate ways.

nothing good, i'm sure..

pissed off after a long phone call.. some problems keep snowballing, after which I'm always the one to get the full ICE KACHANG.. damn sianz...one more Richard problem is nothing to me now...

There are certain things which some Chinese are pretty particular with:- Happy and sad events can't clash together within 100 days to a year. If a relative or loved one were to pass away, the immediate family member can't attend a happy event, like wedding & housewarming. The Teochews treat their eldest male grandchild as their youngest son. If you are getting married & your friend who is getting married invites you to his wedding, u are not allowed to attend. The old people say happy events clash. The red packet can't be given twice for a happy event. Likewise for the condolence packet. One should not give shoes or lamp to a birthday boy or gal, as it is believed that you may bring the person to his deathbed. These are some interesting stuff to share, especially to some blog readers who are not living in a place filled with Chinese.

Movie Outing Plan With Fellow Blogger Friends

I guess Darling, SR & Rich want to watch "Memiors of A Geisha", especially after the ladies were so engrossed in the book at MPH during our last meeting. House Visiting & AVietnamese Girlfriend For Me??

I started my day early today at 8.30am. I was helping my mum with the flower decoration & slept at 1am last night. Had received CNY sms messages from my ex colleague, LS, Angela, Rebecca, Darling, Caifeng, Huixuan, Huiyu, Mac, Jaslyn, Joey, Candy , Kelvin, Rich & Mike. Thanks for all your well wishes, my friends. The 1st stop was at my grandma's place, which we were lucky to get a cab almost immediately after waiting for just a short while. In the ride, my mum & I were chatting casually about some issues that happened in S'pore recently, when we actually touched on the old cobbler cheating Vietnamese gals to be his bride. The cabby told us an incident that happened to his friend. His friend, a guy aged 39 had married a Thai gal aged 23 some years ago. Soon after, they became parents to a baby boy.
