Surprises for Me On My Birthday Party

I received a SMS from Krys yesterday. She was asking me what I wanted for my birthday. I really need to go & think about it. I was very surprised when she sms-ed me. I am really touched about it, as this will be the 1st time I'll be meeting her. Thanks Krys.

Got another stunner from Yishan, that she may not be coming for my birthday celebration on 17 Dec. I had sent out a sms to everyone that I have invited yesterday as I will be having my ACCA exams soon, therefore I am afraid that I may forget about arranging where & what time to meet for that day. Anyway, this is not the first time she has stunned me so I am immune to it already.


Another surprise for me from my buddy, Richard this morning. I can't reveal it here, cause I am being asked not to. But I think some clever readers of my blog may be able to guess what it is already. You may put the guess in the comment box.


I am hoping to go to his concert at Singapore Expo, Max Pavillion on 20 January 2006. I wonder who wants to join me? If no one is joining me, its no fun going alone. Any takers?

Most likely, I won't be attending her concert on 14 Jan 2006. I am talking about Sun Yanzi. Her singing in live concert is not as good as Kit Chan, but she is charging more than Faye Wong. Oh my god, wonder if the promoters know that?

Although I do buy her albums, I feel that she can't really sing "Live". I was at Zouk for her Stefanie Mini Concert. Her singing was a major disappointment. I must say even her latest album, "A Perfect Day" is a major disappointment as well. I think she can do better.

I am planning to get Jay Chou's "November Chopin". I heard that the album is not bad, especially the duet with Lara, "Shan Hu Hai", which means Sea of Corals.

Dinner @ Bacchus @ Dempsey

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. After the dinner, we indulged ourselves in some German wine before we were asked to pose for photos. After that, we adjourned to Harry’s Bar for a drink and chat session. Jonathan was so afraid

My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
