IPOD Spoiled By brother

My mood was spoiled on a nice cool Saturday that my brother had spoiled the IPod Nano that I have got it from Singnet in Nov. I am pretty upset that he has spoiled the part that I do not think is covered by warranty. He cracked the LCD screen. I wonder how this little bro of mine do his things sometimes. This is why I seldom want to buy him new things to use, as he can be quite careless.

Will be going to the Service Centre @ Wheelock Place tomorrow. Haiz. My mum still sided with him when I scolded him for not telling me he spoiled it on Tuesday. The excuse he gave was " Bro, you have lesson & I know you are short of money already after lending mum a sum." I told him that he has to pay for the repair as he was the one who spoiled the screen. In fact, this was what I told him when my mum asked me to lend him my IPOD.

To think that I could forsee that he was going to spoil the IPOD, which was the reason I rejected Jason's offer to sell his IPOD to my brother. (Jason has a Creative MP3 player, which has more functions. Actually, I was hoping to get the Creative player this year, but after Singnet gave me the IPOD, I felt that there was no need to get one.

You may wonder why I am not gettimg a MP3 player when everyone around me has one.

  1. Do not see the need to get one as I have a Sony FM Radio Receiver, which I purchased shortly after I got my current job.
  2. The current trend of IT products are moving very quickly, so the product gets obsolete very fast. It is during the market staturation part where the product becomes cheap.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
