I was given 2 complimentary tickets by my neighbour to attend the show at the last minute, so went with my brother to Changi International Airfreight Centre at Airline Road.

We took a cab to Pasir Ris Bus Interchange and took the "AA 2006" shuttle as we did not want to miss too much of the flying display performance, like what happened in AA 2004, where I missed the flying display performance. It ended up that I still managed to catch about 45 mins of the performance, even as there was a huge jam that stretch to near Changi Villiage Bus Terminal. I must thank SBS Transit for the shuttle service, I think they dispatched about 50 Superbuses to cater to the crowd & the timings of 3 mins of waiting was good to alleviate the crowds at the interchange and from the Airfreight Centre.

I must say that the flying display itself was the main draw and the organisers did not disappoint as I got to see the various aircrafts flying around in the clear blue sky. We had a surprise performance from the Airbus 380. The big passenger plane that made a grand entrance to Changi Airport not too long ago.

Sadly in the exhibition hall though, the exhibition stalls were quite quiet as most of them had closed up the stalls after making brisk business to the trade visitors for the past 3 days. We loitered till about 2.30pm, before taking the shuttle service back to Pasir Ris Interchange, where we had our lunch at White Sands Shopping Centre food court.

I would like to thank my neighbour, Aunt Shirley for the tickets & my brother for taking the pics & video with my handphone.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. After the dinner, we indulged ourselves in some German wine before we were asked to pose for photos. After that, we adjourned to Harry’s Bar for a drink and chat session. Jonathan was so afraid

My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
