Birthday Celebration with my Friend's Son

This is my friend's son. His name is Ryan. My friend is the one beside him in the 3rd pic. Some of you may have seen my friend on the road before due to his job. You guys can guess his job? My friend's name is Ricky.

Had a long ride on the bus as it was raining heavily at my workplace when I left at about 5.45pm. The bus ride to Kranji MRT took about 1.5 hrs, before switching to another SMRT bus at Kranji MRT.

It has been a while since I met up with Ricky. I think the last time was 1.5 years back, when his boy was only 3 months old. Now this little boy is already 2 years old & my friend's wife is expecting a No. 2 sometime in Nov 2006.

Although the food was simple & not very good, his wife was rather apologetic about the catered food as she said it was pretty bad. My main purpose was to catch up with the couple & look at their new flat. I must say it is an enjoyable session.

Ricky was saying he planned to change his job as he feels that with his current job, he may not be able to cope with 2 children later. I told him to start looking for one & leave his current job after everything is in place.

I left at about 10.30pm. Ryan was so cute. He even waved me goodbye as I boarded my bus. Sometimes, I just wish I can be a young child again.

i don't think my mum would want to wish that i'm a young girl!

i don't want to wish that i'm a young kid again. so hard, have to study so much....and you need to ask permission for everything. i only missed the fun i have with friends. but that was short lived!

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
