Sunday Lesson

Was awoken by my brother's & dad's voices as they were preparing to go for their Sunday church service. Since I had an early day for today as well, so I just got up and did my wash up accordingly.

Had two slices of plain bread & a glass of coffee before heading to Starhub Centre for my class. I always felt sianz to have lessons on a Sunday, be it in the morning, noon or nite.

When I got there, I could not get my & Rich's fave spot. It was taken by a lady from the full time class. Rich arrived shortly after. He was sharing with me what he, Darling, Krys did after they left my house. That set my mind thinking, but the thought just slipped out by itself later. I was glad to hear that they enjoyed themselves yesterday.

Soon after, the lecturer came & started her bullet train lecture & went on for an hour & 45 mins before we finally got our break. I guess those attending the same class as me were finding it hard to catch. It is fortunate that I have real life work experience to fall back on.

After the break, she went on till about 1.10pm before letting us off. Rich was saying that he would be facing the 4 walls in his house as his folks are not at home. I decided to join him for lunch at Burger King.

During the lunch, I told him about the plans I have in mind for the coming months. He was a bit shocked but after hearing what I said, he understands the reasons behind my plans.

I am here to announce that I have signed up as a e-filing volunteer for the personal tax for the 2nd year running. Last year was a fulfilling exprience helping people to file their tax returns. I had a good time knowing the senior citizens at the IT Centre too. If everything goes according to what I have submitted, I should be stationed at Blk 123 Serangoon North Ave 1's IT Centre again. The service is available from 18 March 2006 to 17 April 2006 , every weekend from 2pm to 5pm. So if any of you have problems with your tax returns, you are welcome to approach me for help. I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
