I have sent the design of my name card to the printers via e-mail on Thursday. This was the response from them.

*Final artwork provided by oneself must be of the following format in PC:
*Adobe Illustrator File must convert to OUTLINE
* Freehand File must convert to PATH
*Corel Draw File must convert to CURVE
*Adobe Photoshop File must be in Tiff, EPS & JPEG Format

Paper : 230gsm Japanese Art or 300gsm White Card ( Offset Print )
Standard Size : 90mm x 54mm (Maximum)
Printing : 4c + 4c ( CMYK Colour ONLY )
Finishing : Free 2 Sides Printing & Matt Lamination
Quantity : Minimum 300pcs per Design/Layout ( Print in multiples of 300 )
Price : S$30.00 for 300pcs.
Artwork : S$12.00 ( 2 working day ) inclusive of One Logo or Graphic Design Template
Completion : Next 4 working day ( 5 Working day for White Card ) upon confirmation of artwork
Delivery : Additional S$10.00 if you require us to send it to you. (Optional)
Remarks : Price above is exclusive of GST

If you’ll fine with our price please do reply to confirm so that we could proceed for artwork. All artwork must resolution of 350 dpi and above, Bleeding allowance at 3-5mm to prevent any lost of information after trimming of name card .

The total cost works out to about $42 for 300 pcs name cards. I guess it is quite worth as the shops in the City Hall area chages at $28 for 100 pc name cards.

I hope to earn some additional income from providing these services, to cover the high transport expenses incurred for the past year.

If you have been reading my entries carefully, I have been hinting about the sideline that I wish to do. The name card that I have designed covers that.

So if you guys have any people to recommend, please let me know.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
