Jason's & Caifeng's Birthday Gathering @ Mushroom Pot

I didn't go to work yesterday in the end, as I wanted to relax myself for this birthday gathering.

All the invited guests, Richard, Rebecca, Huiyu, Stella & myself were there at the birthday bash. However it was sad to say that one of the co-host, Caifeng could not make it, due to the demise of her grandma on Tuesday, but she told Jason that she will be sharing the cost with him as it has been a while since she last gave us a treat. I felt quite bad about it though.

We had the 6 person set dinner, which was very filling for all of us. I am sure everyone of us had a good time munching the food & catching up with each other. Little did we know that we were to go hungry again at our after dinner activity, the singing session @ The One, at the birthday boy's suggestion. I looked at Richard, because since I introduced this group of friends to him, our usual activity had been singing, and it usually ended till quite late. I wonder what his parents have said about this.

At the KTV, which we got back the same room as our last gathering with Eriko & Audrey, we cracked jokes and sang songs. I was barred from singing JJ Lin's songs by the birthday boy & Richard, so decided to choose other songs to sing instead. The overall cost was cheaper than what we paid that day.

After the session, we parted ways, promising to meet again soon.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. After the dinner, we indulged ourselves in some German wine before we were asked to pose for photos. After that, we adjourned to Harry’s Bar for a drink and chat session. Jonathan was so afraid

My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
