My friend's Baby Shower

As written previously, my net friend, Alexandra invited me to her baby named Avarielle's baby shower today.

The timing she gave was quite flexible as I think she wanted to get as many of her friends and relatives to join in the happy occasion. She was saying that some of her friends were Chirstians and needed to attend church service, while some others needed to run the Army Marathon today.

Took a cab to the HDB block at Bukit Panjang, Segar Road. I think I made the right decision as if I were to alight from the Segar LRT Station, I had to walk about 700 metres before I could see the block. I nearly went to the wrong function as I saw a similar function being held a few blocks away and the taxi driver actually dropped me at that block. Fortunately, I called Alex up and asked her where was the exact location of her function, so I didn't go to wrong one.

It was fun seeing the adorable baby again and the husband & wife. Besides enjoying the spread, I spent time talking to Alex about her immediate plans and life being a mum. She said she is hoping to look for a job soon as she has been slacking at home for a few years already.

Left her place at close to 5pm. I managed to hitch a ride from Alex's lecturer, who gave me a lift to Buona Vista MRT bus stop for me to catch a direct bus home. I would like to express my thanks to the lecturer for the ride.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
