Problematic ACCA payment Site

I was trying to make payment for my exam fees using my UOB card, but it failed to go through 4 times. It just hang there when I clicked on the " Authorise payment" option. It was then when I used my POSB Debit Card to make the payment, it was okay.

Heard from Richard that he encountered the same problem when he registered at the last sitting as well, & the bank actually dedited the failed payments to his account. He had to wait for quite some time before the funds were released.

I wonder what is wrong with the site?

Anyway, I have just sent an email to ACCA and printed out the e-mail to be faxed to UOB Card Centre for them to see to the stop payment option.

Stupid website!!!!

House Visiting & AVietnamese Girlfriend For Me??

I started my day early today at 8.30am. I was helping my mum with the flower decoration & slept at 1am last night. Had received CNY sms messages from my ex colleague, LS, Angela, Rebecca, Darling, Caifeng, Huixuan, Huiyu, Mac, Jaslyn, Joey, Candy , Kelvin, Rich & Mike. Thanks for all your well wishes, my friends. There are certain things which some Chinese are pretty particular with:- Happy and sad events can't clash together within 100 days to a year. If a relative or loved one were to pass away, the immediate family member can't attend a happy event, like wedding & housewarming. The Teochews treat their eldest male grandchild as their youngest son. If you are getting married & your friend who is getting married invites you to his wedding, u are not allowed to attend. The old people say happy events clash. The red packet can't be given twice for a happy event. Likewise for the condolence packet. One should not give shoes or lamp to a birthday boy or gal, as it is believed that you may bring the person to his deathbed. These are some interesting stuff to share, especially to some blog readers who are not living in a place filled with Chinese.
