Moody Moody Day

I was having a moody day today. So much so that I think I mistaken the place for an appointment. Lucky that the person was okay for me to postpone the appointment to Thursday. I am supposed to meet my cousin, Jolene, for dinner tomorrow. I am thinking to give her a treat since it will be her birthday on Thursday.

Finally had the chance to take the disabled friendly bus today. The interior of the bus has a designated space for wheelchair bound passengers. The flight of steps is also low floor, making it easy for me to board the bus. The aircon was very very cold. I think I have to buy 4D tomorrow as I took the same bus with the same licence plate number !!!!

Movie Outing Plan With Fellow Blogger Friends

I guess Darling, SR & Rich want to watch "Memiors of A Geisha", especially after the ladies were so engrossed in the book at MPH during our last meeting. It can be afternoon or nite show, but afternoon is preferred as I would like to avoid the crowd shopping for CNY goodies & clothes. I would like to call the following people. There are certain things which some Chinese are pretty particular with:- Happy and sad events can't clash together within 100 days to a year. If a relative or loved one were to pass away, the immediate family member can't attend a happy event, like wedding & housewarming. The Teochews treat their eldest male grandchild as their youngest son. If you are getting married & your friend who is getting married invites you to his wedding, u are not allowed to attend. The old people say happy events clash. The red packet can't be given twice for a happy event. Likewise for the condolence packet. One should not give shoes or lamp to a birthday boy or gal, as it is believed that you may bring the person to his deathbed. These are some interesting stuff to share, especially to some blog readers who are not living in a place filled with Chinese.
