Tour Booking With Elaine

Elaine mei mei asked me to meet her to accompany her to do the tour booking for her trip to Bintan early next month. Since the tour agency is located in my office building, I decided to accompany her.

Before meeting with Elaine, Rebecca smsed me the result of her medical appointment. The doc had recommended an operation for her spine in mid- Dec. This means that she can't attend my birthday. I just hope that she can be in a postive frame of mind in the run up to the operation.

Dun worry Mei Mei, Kor is here to give u the support u need to overcome this!

Met up with Elaine mei mei at my office building and brought her to book the tour. It seems like the period which Elaine mei mei picked for the tour is not a peak period, and I must say she paid a good and cheap price for the whole tour package.

After booking the tour package, we actually wanted to try New York New York @ Citylink Mall, but the never seemed ending rain changed our mind and we chose Swensens @ Funan Centre instead as Elaine had some errands to run at Funan Centre.

Swensens surprised us with a new look menu, but the service from the crew was disappointing as I have got better service from the branch before. My soup of the day & Fish baked rice were nearly missed out from the waiter's dreamland. We had to do 2 reminders before the food was sent to us. Poor mei mei, she waited for my food to arrive before she started. She must be hungry.

After the dinner, we took a bus and headed home seperately.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. After the dinner, we indulged ourselves in some German wine before we were asked to pose for photos. After that, we adjourned to Harry’s Bar for a drink and chat session. Jonathan was so afraid

My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
