Holiday Plans Fiasco

I am sure some of u know that I am planning for my holiday trip. Here are some of the destinations that I am looking at, but mum seems to have objections to whatever places that was suggested between us, be it the place or the flight, making me not interested to go on the trip anymore.

Hanoi /Ho Chih Minh City

Wanted to go there as we have not been there before. However, she objected after hearing that one of her friend's friend died of flu after returming from there in 2 weeks.

Macau

She wanted to go Macau as Tiger Airways is offering $250 ticket per person, and she regrets the fact that she was not able to tour Macau the last time as it was raining when we made our way there from Zhuhai the last time. I haven't taken budget airline before, but the thought of running with your luggage when it rains really scares me, since there is no aerobridge as shelter. My impression of Macau has not been that good. My thinking is the place is full of casinos. If you guys have taken budget airline before, please share your experiences.

HK

I wanted to go there again as I wanted to see Disneyland opened by my idol, Jacky Cheung.

Bintan

I wanted to go there after seeing how Elaine mei enjoyed herself during her visit there. Mum was against it as she said Indonesia had an earthquake not too long ago.

Zhuhai

She said that she wanted to visit one of our distant relatives whom we left out during our last visit.

Sometimes it is so sickening to go on tour with parents. I rather go with my friends.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. After the dinner, we indulged ourselves in some German wine before we were asked to pose for photos. After that, we adjourned to Harry’s Bar for a drink and chat session. Jonathan was so afraid

My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
