NP Hamornica Troupe Performance

I finally had the chance to rest myself yesterday after telling myself not to go back to office after being treated in such a way by my bosses and the b***. I had the luxury to wake up at 12 noon and had my lunch at 2pm.









Then I got a call from Elaine mei that she was not able to get the flowers to present to Rebec mei, and asked me to help her to get the flowers. Took a bus to AMK Hub. It took me some time to locate the florist as I was hidden in the NTUC Hypermarket at B2. During the search, I managed to find a mid-size bear that I thought Rebec may like. I was thinking, since I haven't given her any surprise before, this was the time for one, since she was performing last night.








Flew home in a cab for a bath before calling for a cab to take me to the Bukit Timah Hawker Centre. I must say it was really heavy, and the bonquet of flowers were dripping water during the cab rides. I must say sorry to the Silvercab & Comfort cab uncle for wetting their seats. The uncles commented the flowers were sweet smelling.








Met up with Elaine, my bro, Ter, Wendy & Chris, before proceeding to King Albert Park for a quick dinner and going to Ngee Ann Poly LT 26 for the performance. The 3 old birds of the school, Ter, Chris & me were commenting that the school had changed so much, while the current student, my bro were telling all of us what the changes were. The ladies, Elaine & Wendy had a good time listening to us. Not only that we also showed them which blks were our classes held at.

We managed to make it in time for the performance. I must say the performance was very good. I liked the encore performances personally. Rebec also performed a solo item in the concert. My bro actually led us to cheer her name when she ended the solo performance, and the start of the group performance.

We are glad that she liked the flowers from us and the teddy bear from me. In fact she was really stunned when she saw the big plastic bag and the flowers during the interval that she collected the flowers first at the interval, before I got my bro to give her the big bag after the concert.

Stella decided to spring Rebec a surprise at the end of her concert. She specially came down from East Coast just for a photo-taking session with us. We are glad to see Rebec so happy yesterday.

After that, we went for a drink before heading home as it was getting late already.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
