Don't Leave Home Without These Cards

Those  who know me would know that I have many cards, from student cards, NTUC card, Season Pass, KBox card to ATM cards.

Recently, to prevent my wallet from having to shoulder the weight of my cards, I took my mum's advice to put some of my frequently used cards into a clear holder.

In my haste to alight from the bus yesterday, I dropped the holder, which I only discovered this morning that I have lost them. It sparked a desperate hunt for me and a mad rush to cancel the ATM card & credit cards.

Fortunately for me, I managed to remember the bus service I took, and went to the bus interchange to try my luck. I managed to get my cards back. It is especially important as reporting the loss of the Season Pass can be a hassle.

Would like to take the opportunity to thank the bus captain of Service 315 (SBS 735) for putting my item with the Route Master of Serangoon Interchange. Your attention to my physique allowed the Route Master to recognise me immediately and I managed to get my things back.

This is wonderful and glad that they have a lost & found..most importantly we must remember when & where we took the bus...:D

Dalicia: I hope things stay that way.

Shionge: I was glad that no one picked it up & withdraw cash or used my card to make any purchases. I actually cancelled the cards as a precaution.

There are certain things which some Chinese are pretty particular with:- Happy and sad events can't clash together within 100 days to a year. If a relative or loved one were to pass away, the immediate family member can't attend a happy event, like wedding & housewarming. The Teochews treat their eldest male grandchild as their youngest son. If you are getting married & your friend who is getting married invites you to his wedding, u are not allowed to attend. The old people say happy events clash. The red packet can't be given twice for a happy event. Likewise for the condolence packet. One should not give shoes or lamp to a birthday boy or gal, as it is believed that you may bring the person to his deathbed. These are some interesting stuff to share, especially to some blog readers who are not living in a place filled with Chinese.

Movie Outing Plan With Fellow Blogger Friends

House Visiting & AVietnamese Girlfriend For Me??

I started my day early today at 8.30am. I was helping my mum with the flower decoration & slept at 1am last night. Had received CNY sms messages from my ex colleague, LS, Angela, Rebecca, Darling, Caifeng, Huixuan, Huiyu, Mac, Jaslyn, Joey, Candy , Kelvin, Rich & Mike. Thanks for all your well wishes, my friends. The 1st stop was at my grandma's place, which we were lucky to get a cab almost immediately after waiting for just a short while. In the ride, my mum & I were chatting casually about some issues that happened in S'pore recently, when we actually touched on the old cobbler cheating Vietnamese gals to be his bride. The cabby told us an incident that happened to his friend. His friend, a guy aged 39 had married a Thai gal aged 23 some years ago. Soon after, they became parents to a baby boy.
