Had the usual Saturday praying session at Tampines Soka Centre with mum today, before proceeding to Junction 8 Best Denki to get a stand fan as my grandma is coming over to my place for a short stay of 5 days next week. She should be sleeping in my study room as she just had an operation to correct her cartracts. It will not be safe for her to climb up the stairs to my sleeping room. Lucky the fan didn't cost much as the vouchers from my boss subsided most of the cost of the fan.

I also had an interesting discovery. The Canon 40 & 41 ink cartridges that I bought from E-life at Suntec are more expensive than the Canon 830 & 831 cartridges at Best Denki. The difference is good enough for me to have 2 lunches. What I don't understand is these 4 cartridges are all compatitable with my Canon printer, but why is there such a big difference in cost.

Dinner was at Kim San Leng coffeeshop. Mum was commenting that I was eating too fast, as a result, my food is usually not properly digested and I don't get the "full" feeling. I guess you must be wondering what I had.

  • Yong Tau Foo (5 pieces) with noodles
  • Indian rojak, shared with my mum
  • Omelette, shared with my mum

I just wonder why I still can't gain a bit of weight that I want. I can't gain too much due to my physical condition as my legs may not be able to carry my body weight if I gain too much.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. After the dinner, we indulged ourselves in some German wine before we were asked to pose for photos. After that, we adjourned to Harry’s Bar for a drink and chat session. Jonathan was so afraid

My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
