My boss had hired a cleaning company to shampoo the carpet for us on Sat. According to my manager, it is always a yearly affair before CNY that my boss would hire the company to shampoo the carpet. Its just that this year was a bit early as I guess my boss got the other cleaning company to do it. The reason should be a lower cost and it covered more areas as my office is big.

Having been warned that our chairs would be strewn around by our senior colleagues, I decided to get in to office early today. Anyway, it was raining so I took a cab into office.

I was glad that my chair was at its place, but my partner's chair was not. To prevent my partner having to search for her chair and push through the narrow space if I were to sit down, I decided to find for her and help her push in her chair before settling down on my seat.

Just as when I found the chair, a senior colleague passed by. She kept hurrying me to hurry up to push the chair in instead of helping me. The receptionist heard that she was shouting at me and decided to shout back at her by saying " He is not as fast as you, you keep asking people to be fast fast." I kept holding back my anger as I certainly don't want my Monday to be spoiled by certain people, nor I don't want to be reported to my bosses for showing bad attitude to senior staff as my bonus is coming soon. I don't want to jepordise my bonus & record because of this.

Wish to thank the colleague who came to my rescue and the colleague without a heart, I just wish to say, I don't know what to say about you. Really.

Good to know that someone stood up for you. I know there are bullies in the workplace too.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
