An Update On Mum's Condition

I know most of my friends who saw my blog post via here or facebook are curious to know about what the doctor said about my mum's condition today. I was quite anxious myself personally as I was tasked with the responsibility to break the news to my dad and brother.

The doctor confirmed that my mum has urinary tract infection, and it has spread to her kidney, but luckily, the infection to her kidney was minimal. The doc is prescribing antibiotic drip to stop the infection. The doc said that the fever that she is having is normal as the body tries its best to kill the infection with the aid of medication.

The doc also advised my mum that she has to stop the cholestrol control medication as it appears that her body is showing some side effects to the medication.

If all goes well, she should be home by Tuesday, which I hope so as she was having a fever last night and she has the feeling of keep wanting to throw up.

Thank you to my friends once again who have showed concern for my mum and me during this period. I know my mum wants me to continue my life as normal. I am trying my best to keep my spirits up, the way she wants it to be.

In fact, I went to SSA Tampines Centre to pray for her speedy recovery before going to Bugis Top One KTV to book the KTV rooms for the group for the KTV that I am organising on next Sunday. I also signed up to be their member to enjoy more of their benefits. I was surprised to see Bugis Junction so crowded today, maybe it is because there only about 23 days to CNY. People are looking at CNY clothes and accessories.

By the way, if there is slight discomfort drink cranberry juice - it helps.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
