CNY Gathering At My House

My mum had asked me to invite the friends to my place that I had knew from the various facebook groups that I have joined since mid of last year. I am glad that most of my group members and the administrators of the Libraboys Group (Paul) & Singapore Facebook Singles (Michelle) were able to make it. I had tried to ask a few of my long time friends along. The unfortunate thing was only Huiyu was able to make it.
 
I would like to thank my mum for preparing the food, which was very nice, according to my guests. My mum had prepared fried bee hoon, fried noodles, ba kut teh, vegetables, rice and fish. My mum felt that it was more cost effective and healthy to prepare on her own rather than to order a buffet or pizza hut and waste food. I am impressed that she was able to whip up such a hearty meal for my guests that left them craving for more on the budget which I had given her and there was no wastage of food.

Not forgeting, Huiyu, Paul, Quincy, Kok Leong and of course, the star of the day, Lawerence. I got a birthday cake for him and celebrated his birthday for him as it was his actual birthday.

I hope my guests enjoyed themselves yesterday because I had fun chatting and eating with them.

I joined the Facebook Foodies Club for dinner at Bacchus last night. Yesterday was with a smaller group of people with 11 people. It meant that I had a chance to interact with people and enjoy good food at the same time. I certainly had a good time knowing Deborah, Rene, Wenna, Chris & Catherine. The good part was having my singing buddy, Jonathan around as well, making me able to enjoy the dinner and making friends with relative ease. I must say I enjoyed the food, that I ordered. I ordered the Flumuken,Bawhrust susages and tiramisu cake. You must be thinking that why I ordered so much food. I must say I was very hungry as I didn’t have a filling lunch. Although, it burned a hole in my pocket, but it is certainly good to indulge in myself sometimes! I like the ambience of the restuarant. My Hosting Script for The National Day Event

I just managed to work out the draft hosting script for the National Day Event I am hosting. I am thankful for all the comments that I have received from my fellow RC members and friends. Just feel that sometimes, no matter whatever you do, some people, no matter for what reasons, will not be happy with the arrangements. I just wish to say that I am already trying my best to try to get this event going, considering the fact, that this is the 1st time I am organising an RC event. I have also tried my best, despite the fact that I would like to have a free hand to organise the event, just like what I usually do for the KTV events I have on Facebook, I accommodated to the requests that I should somehow follow the past years’ format to do the event. I know that I am not very familiar with how things are run at the RC, therefore in the end, my organising committee only made some changes to the event as we had a limited budget to work on. June Musings

 It has been a while since I last blogged. Since then, I am settling well into my role, although there were some incomings and outgoings, which are common in any workplace.   I managed to catch a last glimpse of Yishun Orto before it closed on 30 June. I would like Leonard, Wendy & Michael, as without them performing at the Happiest Hour Bar & Bistro, I guess I would never go to this place, as I had not so fond memories of a nearby place during my NS days.   I did not manage to get A* Mei or Jacky Cheung concert tickets this round. It could be a sign for me to build up my savings again after an unstable 3 years on the job front. I hope to stay on this job for a while despite its lack of transport amenities and lack of shelters for rain as it is not often that you can have great teams of colleagues and bosses with whom you can get along well. I guess having a boss who is differently abled helps me to settle in well as colleagues tend to be more understanding and caring.
